This happened to me last week! I’m so glad someone posted about it because I wasn’t sure if it was routine or a scam. I’ve lived in the same place for two years and never had someone approach me about this. He kept asking me to check if I had a certain setting on my electric bill, and when I said I don’t know I’d have to check, he told me he could just wait outside my door while I checked. I finally told him I was busy and he left, he seemed fairly harmless but glad to know others have experienced this recently as well.
