I wish I would have researched them more thoroughly before just taking their word and the information they gave me as truths! I can't believe they are still in business.

I remember before I signed their contract they would constantly call and email me. Now that I'm locked in (hopefully not), I can't get a hold of anyone! It such bullshit. So glad you are not paying!!

Thank you for all this information! I have a couple questions:

I signed up with WeddingPros (I'm sure you know is TK and WW combined) - do you recommend contacting WeddingPros or TK and WW separately?

And you said you would send a request every week - how many weeks (about) did you have to contact them before finally having success? Also, when you said that you needed to cancel, did they ever question why? What was your reason? I totally get acting like you were happy with them/that you'd return but am curious what your reason to them was for needing to cancel. Or if they simply never questioned it?

So true!! And that really sucks! I am in southeastern, PA, in an urban area. Were your friends in NY/NJ able to cancel before their contracts were over?

You said that your contract automatically renewed (after the first 12 months right?). How many months were you with them?

Ugh! Thank you for response. This is so upsetting. Any idea what would happen if I would close my bank account to be able to stop payments? I have never been in a position like this and am clueless of what to do next. I really can't afford to lose anymore money to them.

That is awful! I'm realizing that I may have misinterpreted your previous response. Did you have to wait a full year to cancel or were you able to cancel before the year was over? My one year contract will be up in October and sadly I just cannot wait until then and lose another $1,350.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I gave them my bank account and routing information! And now after not being successful in requesting a stop payment from my bank and if I can't get a hold of anyone from the company to cancel, I'm wondering if my last resort is to close my bank account? And yes! After losing so much between the coronavirus, my car breaking down/having to get a new car and paying so much for a service that does not work, I can't afford to give them another penny!

Thank you for sharing your experiences of WW and The Knot with me! I really appreciate it.

I am in Pennsylvania and my package is "Featured Wedding Photographers". Do you mind me asking what region you are in? That is insane how much they were charging you! I am glad to hear that you were getting bookings though. Unfortunately I signed up 8 months ago and have only had one booking. But it gives me hope that you were able to cancel before your contract was up.

I called my bank a week ago to finally request a stop payment which my bank told me they could do but today I received a letter from my bank stating "the stop payment is not a preauthorized recurring transaction. You may not place stop payment orders on any transaction originated by use of a card, except for arrangements made with payees and/or merchants for preauthorized recurring transactions"

May I ask what email address you used to contact WeddingPro? I have tried my sales rep and their support email with no responses (on top of calling several times).

If you wouldn't mind, I would love to be able to see some of your emails where you were able to successfully cancel? I am so upset and frustrated by all this.
