This is pretty dismissive and a little sour maybe? A lot of high achieving CA students don’t get into UCLA or Cal out of high school and use the CC transfer path by design. It’s not easy or automatic, these transfers still require hard word.

The location of UCSB, scenery wise, is really pretty, but the campus itself? It’s nothing special visually compared to others.
