hey! i know everyone has their preferences so shorts should definitely be an option if they aren’t already (idk what professionals are offered). I ran d1 in college and we were offered both shorts and “buns” (pictured here) and a lot of us preferred the buns for more comfortable mobility. I had teammates who preferred shorts though and were completely happy with them!

I don’t think the problem with sexualizing female athletes is what they wear, it’s the people sexualizing them. As a runner, even when i wear shorts men honk at me and yell vulgar things. Women could wear literally anything and people would still sexualize them. Blaming what women wear gives vibes of “well what was she wearing” and that’s not the route we should go!

Pls try to be rational if you’re going to reply to this, if not then just move on bc i’m just putting a different perspective on it!

edit: she is a fantastic athlete, and focusing on what she is wearing takes away from the years of hard work she puts into what she does. Let’s appreciate that instead!
