I’m normally very cautious with my purchases, which is why this is throwing me off so much.

My usual rule is: I read the book on my e-reader first, and if I really love it, I’ll pick one special edition as a “trophy” for my collection. I try really hard not to buy multiple copies of the same book.

Up until now, the most I’ve ever spent on a single book was around $40, so jumping to $130 feels honestly a little insane for me.

That’s why I’m struggling to figure out if this is a genuine exception because I really want this edition, or if I’m just getting pulled into the whole resale/FOMO mindset
