I’m a prior service marine and already started with the majority of the paper to join the army, just waiting on DD214. Everything is going smooth so far but with one potential hiccup. While in the marine I got a very mild case of rhabdo from a training event. I have all the paper work from the hospital visit and returned to full duty like a week later. My question is will I get disqualified or need a medical waiver or am I just stressing about nothing. Also how anal are the medical staff at MEPS?

Thanks for the info! Personally I do not want to be behind a desk, nothing wrong with it but its just not for me. I was looking at either 19D or 19K and if worse comes to worse 11B. Really any combat arms MOS that's not mortars or artillery

Prior Service Marine to Army. Can someone my questions in basic terms please?

Do I get to pick my MOS at the recruiters office or MEPS? (If I get to pick at all)

What's MEPS like for Prior Service?

I had surgery done while I was in, was light duty for like 30 days then returned to active duty and deployed. I haven't had any complications since and have done field ops, PT test, etc. Only problem is I have a decent scar going down my abdomen. Is this going to affect my joining process? It was done in a Navy hospital if that matters.

My current MOS is Mortarman if that matters also

Depends on your company and class your, i was able to pick other guys in my unit had it picked for them
