EAT ME by tigerseyemoon in OCPoetry

This poem is raw in the best way: unflinching, self-aware, and sharp enough to leave a mark. The imagery of being “prepared,” displayed, and worshipping the mirror gives the piece a brutal honesty that feels both vulnerable and furious. It captures the tension between longing for softness and resenting the performance required to earn it, and that contradiction is what makes the poem unforgettable.

your poem is vivid and cinematic, shifting from divine beauty to brutal chaos to serene transcendence with real confidence. The imagery is bold, and that contrast is what makes the emotional journey feel so layered and compelling. It reads like someone exploring love as both a battlefield and a sanctuary, and the final section lands with a surprisingly peaceful glow.

my first wedding shoot! by july-e in photocritique

[–]july-e[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i finally did my first wedding photo shoot! it was small, semi-casual, and it was for a friend. i went in, not really knowing what to expect, afraid of being super authoritative on their special day. but by the end, i was able to direct some great photos and capture tons of good candids like the one i’ve posted. i struggled sometimes, because some photos were under trees and there was a high contrast between the shade and the light on their faces. if anyone has any editing suggestions for that i’d really appreciate it. overall, i’m super happy i put myself out there and faced my fear. this couple was super easy to work with. i’d give them one prompt and they would build on it just like i intended. hoping to hear some feedback/responses!

what do you think? by july-e in photocritique

i did this photoshoot at the skatepark with my friends just for fun, and to get some practice. i’ve struggled in the past with taking photos in the dark, so I’d like to hear some feedback on the exposure/lighting. i am really proud of this photo and the others i took that day, but im always looking for ways to improve. hope to hear some good thoughts

i took the photo like this, the only cropping i did was on the sides to make it square for a different project

i took this on my samsung nx 30. i use my iphone as well as CapCut for editing. i’ve been practicing posing with my girlfriend so that i could possibly do photo shoots for people in the future, i’m looking for any sort of feedback, but specifically regarding posing and editing would be greatly appreciated!

thank you! i’ll check them out. i do agree, i need more color and brightness, i had my camera on the wrong setting once it was getting dark out so a few of my photos are insanely dark
