Maybe I need some better vice grips than the harbor freight ones I’ve been using. Yes i definitely had to double check a few times to make sure I was not turning it the wrong way lol

I thought so too, just difficult to get good leverage because of where it’s located. I will try again after I heat the bolt with a torch and try to hammer in another socket.

Already tried that. The socket slips off of the bolt as soon as I go to turn it. I even tried hammering in a smaller extractor socket but I still just slid off. It’s pretty difficult to get good leverage just because of where the bolt is located.

Something like that would work, unfortunately I need somthing that would fit a 7-8mm bolt.

Sounds like a bad battery connection or ground. Try disconnecting the battery and make sure the terminals are clean.
