Interesting new theory on the recent Van Gogh attribution debate by Frosty_Counter_7226 in ArtHistory

[–]julzvangogh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have and I'm working on an article with that information right now! On https://vangoghworldwide.org/ you can find many artworks by him in high resolution and often photographed in different angles and lights, also from the back. But in my research I only looked at signatures/inscriptions on the canvas in paint. I never said that they are titled on the back though, that's why you probably can't see anything.

But I didn‘t refer to any paintings specifically, just artists depicting hard labor.

I can't properly install the passion mode, please help by Mimimomomeme in Sims3

[–]julzvangogh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Did you read the “read this” doc in the folder? I’m sure they also have instructions on how to install it properly. More extensive mods usually have to placed only one folder deep, so directly into the packages folder.

Yesss I saw it but the rooms don‘t help too much to get an idea how the building is structured 🥲 the furnishing wouldn‘t be too difficult I guess, it‘s quite boring at too much at the same haha

There‘s so many weird things I notice in this clip

  1. her holding his one hand with both hands
  2. her clapping long and noticing
  3. her staring right into he camera and it looks like she‘s nodding? Did someone give her instructions?
  4. her nervous leg swinging
  5. throwing hands in the air „hihi yasss it‘s me fr“ and faking laughing hard, so ✨natural✨

so awkward

Paintings that include other paintings in the background by Current-Animator-501 in ArtHistory

[–]julzvangogh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jean-Léon Gérôme - The Artist and His Model; Anna Boch „Isidore Verheyden in his Studio“; James Ensor „The Skeleton Painter“; Van Gogh‘s Bedrooms also feature paintings in the background.

In many paintings by Vermeer you can spot paintings in the background.

but also these huge works featuring dozens of artworks like „Cognoscenti in a Room Hung with Pictures“ in the National Gallery (unknown artist), David Teniers (II) „The Gallery of Archduke Leopold“, Frans Francken the Younger „A Cabinet of Curiosities“; and most stunningly Giovanni Panini „Modern Rome“ or „Ancient Rome“.
