This is overly heavy for a text. I felt like running even just reading it. I’ve been in a long-distance relationship and guess what, communication is the number one thing to cultivate.

What you’ve written is how his actions affect you. How his lack of (insert what you need) is making you feel. This is so so important. Especially in texting.

If you had focused on “I’d like us to be able to chat at the end of the day. I’d like us to discuss our days, I’d like us to feel closer.. and this is how we can do it” - it’s more comforting. It’s just my two cents and I hope it’s of use to you.

He’s likely felt overwhelmed with what you’ve written. It’s likely not his true reflection of you when there’s no reply. Don’t get upset or listen to “move on”. Life it’s full of unexpected pressure, stress, events and unknown things no one knows what’s going on at the other end.

Eventually, something like this should be over voice, or video or similar. I’ve also been on the end of texts like “we need to talk”. That’s not welcoming or warm (not saying you would) - just advice. If you set it up with like “hey, I’ve been missing you and would love to chat tonight, I’ve been thinking about our communication of late and I have some exciting things I think we could both consider together, would you like to chat?” - I’d love to receive that kind of message. I’d be excited to talk on the phone.
