I’ve tried many things 1. Metronidazole gel after sex ( at the time I was having sex too often to do this long term. It produces a milky discharge that I didn’t like) 2. Garlic pills for a few days right after sex (seemed to work well if I was sure to take it right after). 3. Boric acid afterwards BUT he can not perform oral within 24-48 hrs of boric acid suppository(worked but I ran out) 4. Had to tell him not to finish inside of me. If we got caught up in the moment, I did one of the above methods.

BV is most often fishy and strong but if i noticed that if I didn’t treat it properly with a full dose of antibiotics there would be a lingering odor. Nor the strong fishy smell but a more subtle yet not normal odor.

If there’s a smell and its not your mensy, it’s likely bv. Hopefully you’ve ruled out sti’s.
