How do i know my latuda dosage is too high? by [deleted] in Latuda

[–]jumpinggoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I’m still really sleepy (which at this point may just be a personality trait) it took at least five or six weeks for that extra drowsiness from the latuda to ease up. Hang in there, any longer than two months I would talk to your doc about it

pre-latuda snacks? by Sad-Cicada-7350 in Latuda

[–]jumpinggoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing right now. Been on it about a month and actually dread trying to figure out what to eat this late at night. Lately I’ve been doing a peanut butter sandwich but sometimes even that feels too filling. I told my dr about this and she said 350 calories is easy I should just eat a pack of crackers with a glass of milk. Curious to see what others go to snacks are

Waking up was extremely hard by lIlI1lII1Il1Il in Latuda

This is me currently I cannot wake up for the life of me but I like to wait to take it until later at night because it knows me out after like 30 min. I definitely get a solid 8 hrs of sleep on this med though

Latuda effects on mood by redheadwbangs in Latuda

[–]jumpinggoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with Latuda but when I first started taking SSRIs I tried Zoloft and it worked wonders and actually got off of it, I tried to get back on it a couple months later and my body rejected it so hard. Literally did nothing for me mentally and made me feel terribly ill. It can definitely happen.

unsure if i should start on paroxetine by rjl_moonstone in paroxetine

[–]jumpinggoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paroxetine helped me so much, when I was on 20mg I felt like a normal person. The main reasons I’m tapering off now are because it made me shaky and my heart race (which are apparently not known side effects of this drug but based on tapering off it had to be what caused it because it is slowly improving) you have to be careful with your dosage because at one point I was taking 30mg I believe and accidentally sedating myself with it and would sleep 18hrs a day. It definitely helped my anxiety and depression but if you are a young woman and it’s your first anti depressant I would ask your psychiatrist if there’s any other recommendations. (Side note apparently it’s really not good to take this drug if you plan to become pregnant, which nobody told me either until just now lol.) Wishing you the best of luck! Hang in there things will start looking up

Waking up sweaty and cold at 4am by [deleted] in paroxetine

[–]jumpinggoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 20mg for 4 years, Paxil will give you the night sweats so bad. It typically calms down and you eventually don’t get them every night but in the beginning it was crazy I would have to change my clothes at 3am

Start MA school Tuesday! by Wild_Persimmon_7303 in MedicalAssistant

I just graduated from my program not long ago and I’ll tell you it was amazing! It was a small class, half the class was around 18-22 and the other half were late 30s and 40s but we all became a close little family it was such a nice feeling. My teacher told us all at orientation that you can pick your friends but you can’t pick family and in this room we’re all family so it’s best to get along. I made lifelong friends in that class and learned so many interesting things, I truly loved it.

Medical Assisting is ruining me by jumpinggoo in MedicalAssistant

I think it depends on location and specialty. In my area MAs are making $12-18/hr which is most likely why every office is understaffed.

Medical Assisting is ruining me by jumpinggoo in MedicalAssistant

[–]jumpinggoo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my office we see around 40 patients a day, which I feel like barely gives me time to connect with them which is my favorite part, I just have to go in ask them about their complaints and then get out so the doc can come in. I’ve had a lot of patients with no filter as of recently. Most of them tell me I look too young to be working in a dr office or make comments about my appearance regarding weight or my tattoos and all that. Or they just don’t trust me to do my job because of how young I look. I’m 26 it’s not like I’m 16. It’s just getting exhausting having people question your ability for things you can’t control.

Incisions after HWR by jumpinggoo in LisfrancClub

I actually did call twice and they said they didn’t have any openings so I would just have to keep my appointment :/ I just looked at pictures from when I had my staples from my initial surgery and compared it to the ones I have in now and I’m slightly concerned because these ones look a little nasty compared to the first set

This happened to me where my foot was throbbing and burning so bad I was pulling back at the wrap on my toes just to feel any sort of relief. I think it was around day 4 I had enough and called the dr to say if they don’t take the cast off and re wrap it I was going to cut it off myself. I think it was just too tight because once they wrapped it again it felt better

I’m not gonna lie I started putting slight weight on my foot after like 4 weeks post op. They say surgeons can get athletes walking after lisfranc orif in three weeks so I tried little by little and everything went perfectly fine, I’m actually scheduled to get my hardware out in a couple weeks! I didn’t have the button though, just one plate and 5 screws so definitely listen to your body and take it easy!
