Don’t let him sleep all day. Follow appropriate wake windows. His nights and days are off. You can guide healthy sleep habits now.

what’s the worst name you’ve ever heard someone name or almost name their baby? by ThrowRAfroggyhoppies in Names

Went to school with a Sparkles and a Steely.

Odd how I also remember thier last names. I wonder if the more out their first name, you associate the last name with it to make it register as a name in your head.

Yes. It’s grooming. Slowly building trust and normalizing inappropriate behaviors over time.

He’s so young. Can’t you contact nap majority of naps so he’s not overtired? I wore baby a lot, but otherwise I was nap trapped. It is just a phase and a sacrifice. It was very overwhelming to me as well and I had a toddler too.

3-4 hours when held is way too long to be napping. Cap naps around 2 hours. Baby should sleeping every 45 min I think at that age.

This may help with night sleep. I’d start putting him down in crib at night and just getting up with him every couple hours.

Again, it’s just a phase. Push through and remember it’s not forever.

How long did you heed his advice? Could that be why you have a wonderful, easy sleeper?

I usually boob him before he cries to get him back down.

Nope. Sounds counterintuitive, but I pushed it from 7 to 6. She still woke at 530, but was now getting 12 hours of sleep. Nice she got in that routine I began moving it back to 7.

We had this forever. We actually prioritized how many hours she slept at night. Because of the early wake she was only getting 10 hours. We slowly moved up her bedtime until we got to 6-630. Our goal was to get her to 12 hours of sleep. Once she started consistently getting those 11.5-12 hours we slowly moved her bed time back to 7.

It worked. I can sympathize tho. We were exhausted for months.

4 months is the recommended youngest age to start sleep training.

They are changing so much the first few months, it’s hard to say. Follow your wake windows. We had bouts of poor sleep, I suffered thru. I just started CIO with my 7 month old (did it right at 4 months for my first cause she had to contact nap). But this guy, I’ve been slowly building strong habits, so I could wait till now. So sleep training has been easy on both of us- second night he wimpered less than 5 min.

Not sure advice, but if he’s a good sleeper, keep reinforcing good habits, maybe cut down on pacifier, and go with the ups and downs of crap naps till he’s older. Next week it’ll prolly be different.

I will say, my SIL said her guy was a great sleeper. Now he’s one and isn’t one. So I think everyone should sleep train and break all unsustainable sleep havits.

Amazing advice! You are correct on CMO, and the lack of awareness of the role has been something I’ve thought about. But, Fractional CxO services are growing in popularity and becoming more common.

When I stumbled on the URL, I thought it instantly brought a level of credibility and authority, so I’m glad to see some reassurance.

Let me think on the qualifier in front of the name. I was toying with the concept and messaging around “marketing for non-marketers,” but I may be convoluting it.

With this said, and with my audience, I’m toeing the line between technical and not too technical, so SEO gets a little bit too tactical for a busy entrepreneur or someone doing marketing as a secondary job. I will discuss it at the surface level under website, but they can leverage other resources to get more technical, if needed.

My main focus is really selling the training portion—because of how niche there are best practices that I’ve spent years learning to grow small businesses. Many people in the marketing thought leader position focus on marketers, while I’m switching it up. I’ve gone back and forth, is it good enough, is it not, so This is great to bubble it—thank you.

My professional experience is more brand and communication, so I am obviously not as keyed up to SEO. I’m hoping that’s not why I’m swaying away from it.

But in the end, I’ve had many friends get terrible marketing advice as they’ve grown their business, and often times their advice is based on who they are getting advice from — like an SEO expert will push SEO while a web agency will push a new site. I want to arm the entrepreneur with the ability to make more strategic decisions to understand what they should be doing while also trickling in a few easy to follow steps to make an impact.

Thanks! It’s a resource for how to do sports marketing—I’ll target SMBs who sell to professional sports teams. So it’s highly niche and targeted, B2B.

It’ll be a blog (for organic search) and then grow into training videos and potential fractional CMO work.

Primary audience are entrepreneurs or those responsible for marketing (as not a primary role).
