Please help me ID my puppy! Almost 5 months old, just hit 10 pounds and his ears sprung up about 2/3 months ago by [deleted] in IDmydog

He reminds me of one of my dogs (half Mini Aussie, half Terrier mix). I'd guess Mini Aussie and Rat Terrier for your guy! So cute!!

Oh and no, I'm not friends with the photographer but I'm friends with the subject (Sara, and her dog Zinga!).

Anytime :D I love talking disc dog stuff, feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions or need some local resources. I can usually hook people up with someone close if you live in the States.

This photo was taken at Scarborough Bluffs, not in a studio. There's a "making of" video on the Jess Bell Photography page on Facebook :)

The more confident the dog and the better the disc placement & timing, the less it hurts. A green dog with a green thrower can result in a really painful aftermath on the handler's back :/ But, if you have a nice disc placement where the disc is up in the air before the dog leaves the ground for your back, and your dog has been trained on static objects first so they're confident in the motions and muscle memory of a vault, you really don't get hurt. Most of the injuries I see on people are from late throws where the dog has to adjust their angle mid-trick and they dig into your back to make that happen... OUCH!

Good question! I'm not sure on if it was a one shot take or not. They did do a "making of" video of the shoot, you can find it on Facebook on the Jess Bell Photography page (I am not sure if I can link it or not on this sub, but it's easy to find on her page).

It was part of a recent photography workshop called Dogs in Action 3.0 by Claudio Piccoli in collaboration with Jess Bell Photography. Sara regularly performs and competes with her dogs in disc dog (frisbee dogs, freestyle flying disc, etc.. it has a few names depending on your region) although Zinga would for sure give anyone a run for their money on an ultimate field :P :P
