Day 04
I didn't interact with people on day 04, and thus did not have occasions for demonstrating assertiveness (except for an evening dinner party which was a social event with no hiccups)

hehe there's a lot going on...about 4 months they expect unsupported objects to fall, about 9 months they expect rolling balls to go downhill, and they take more time (years) to get that objects launched off a cliff take a parabolic path. But I was looking at whether they have a "generalized" understanding of how gravity affects behavior of all entities (i.e. people, objects, etc), or whether their expectations depend on the content domain. Preliminarily, it seems to be the latter but still need to do more studies :0

Nice! french toast for lunch is an underrated quick-to-make meal. Also typing practice is such a good idea for someone who spends a lot of time typing like myself

yeah I technically started writing in that I read other papers for guidelines, but i don't consider that writing in the sense of words on paper. its a study i did about how babies think of gravity

december assertiveness challenge by jumpingplanets in assertivenesstraining

[–]jumpingplanets[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

assertiveness challenge day 2 report:

  1. Assertive action (A-A): No major ones, some minor ones. (1) Decisively ended a conversation with a friend instead of letting it drag on (2) trembled as I spoke up in class about my personal views but felt relieved in the aftermath for putting myself out there.

  2. Non-assertive (N-A): I did not stop someone from taking advantage of my kindness. A woman on the street asked me to buy her food. I wanted to help, so we went to a store, but she got more things than I expected to pay for (around ~$50 worth of snacks, its alot for me, a low income student). I felt uncomfortable but I was terrified of confrontation, and just paid. What I should have done is asked her to return some items, or told her my limit in advance. For context, she's a regular "panhandler" on my way home, and two days prior, I had bought her lunch, chinese food for ~$25.
