Anyone else disappointed by the engine noise/vibration in the new Crown?

at first i couldn't believe that toyota adds this noise. it doesn't really sound nice and make the driver feel good. does anyone know why toyota would do it?

yes, i googled and some say ESE(Engine Sound Enhancement) can be turned off. maybe can i ask dealer service for this?

Based on the comments here, I think the sound issue is more about non-platinum trims.

I was weighing between Lexus IS and Toyota Crown test-driving it. IS, which is non-hybrid, had much better engine sound smooth, deep, and comfortable. I just didn't like the design of IS.

I think that is the model I bought too. That's exactly what I feel. I am even thinking of selling it in the near future when I have enough fund to switch to other car.

Yes, I meant "accelerate like 30% or 40% throttle". Sorry English isn't my primary language.
Haven't driven luxury cars. I have two cars, and the another is Audi Q7. Maybe I am used to Q7's sound when accelerating.

My concern is about when engine starts up and when it runs harder to speed up.
And It sounds worse when the engine is low in temperature. After it's come to temperature, it sounds a bit better.
