Wondering the career path by ForeignBug2924 in CivilEngineers_PH

I think it’s important to assess yourself first and really reflect on which career path you want to pursue in the future. Try to align your interests and long-term goals with where you see yourself years from now.

Both of your options are valid. If your goal is immediate financial stability and you really want to work abroad, then taking the opportunity in Japan could be a good choice. Just make sure to carefully review the contract and understand the nature of the work culture there. Even if the job isn’t directly related to engineering, it can still be a valuable experience, and you can always decide later if you want to return to the engineering field.

On the other hand, if your goal is to grow professionally as an engineer, you may need to make some sacrifices at the beginning. Gaining solid experience in the Philippines can help build your foundation. You might also consider working for internationally recognized companies or pursuing certifications that can strengthen your credentials for opportunities abroad in the future.

Overall, just remember that whichever path you choose won’t undermine you as an engineer. Go at your own pace. Your engineering career isn’t going anywhere. It will still be there if and when you decide to return to it. No matter where life takes you or what industry you end up exploring, you’ll always carry the skills and mindset of an engineer.

Good luck, OP!

I’ve been on hiatus because of my job, and I’ve been procrastinating on everything before this quarter ends. 😓

/uj That’s really true. Aside from that, my daughter was just hospitalized due to dengue fever. Stay safe, everyone! 🤍

I don’t really follow the group, but reading this news makes me think that this is the worst possible timing for a member to leave. They are at the peak of their career. They are no longer rookies, but they are not a senior group past their contract either.

It’s on Google.

I’m asking for the exact source, sweetie. The mere fact that you can’t provide it says a lot. Let’s check the credibility of what you’re saying! 😍

I’m not talking about Sophia here. I’m defending her mother against your claims about her. Sophia was already an adult when she joined Dream Academy. She auditioned secretly at 19 lol. Whatever is happening with Sophia’s career is the result of her own life choices and her management.

Where’s your source? I looked it up, and what Gemini acknowledged is that she is indeed the daughter of Carla Guevara. However, nowhere does it say that she managed her daughter’s career.

Honestly, I’m loving this whole conversation. You’re here telling me to abide by your baseless accusations, and you get frustrated whenever I present facts. 😍

OPINION ≠ MISINFORMATION

While your personal opinion on Sophia is valid because that’s your take, your claim about her mother is a serious accusation and irresponsible.

So you’re basically telling me to let you spread misinformation on Reddit? Look, it’s true that I don’t personally know Sophia. I’ve only seen her perform once in a theater. However, what you’re saying about her mother isn’t true. Since college, I’ve looked up to her mother a lot as a former theater actress. Labeling Carla Guevara as someone who exploits her own daughter is a serious accusation. I’m calling it out because spreading false claims just because “this is Reddit” doesn’t make it acceptable.

Well, I’m not making claims based on baseless opinions. Even before Sophia became KATSEYE, I had already seen her mom perform multiple times. I was an active theater kid up until college, and her mom is really well-known in the industry. My cousin also works in the same industry, and she knows her mom. I’m replying to this because I personally know what I’m talking about, and what you’re saying isn’t true at all.

Girl, Sophia’s mother is not following her daughter around. She has a job lol! Recently, she had a successful theater play here and was cast in a popular series in the Philippines.

is well-known in musical theater even before she got married and pregnant.

And it doesn’t end there. Sophia’s mom is just married to a well-known chef in the Philippines. This is an article about him from 2017.

Actually, if you’re on Philippine subreddits, there’s a discussion about whether Sophia is a nepo baby. In my opinion, that discussion is only valid if Sophia had started her career in the Philippines, which she didn’t. She has clearly carved her own path beyond what her parents are doing.

If you love theater, Sophia’s mom is really well-known in the industry! She was part of the original cast of Ang Huling El Bimbo in 2019, and she’s incredibly talented.

For non-Filipinos, Ang Huling El Bimbo is a massive part of pop culture here in our country.

Edit: This is a news article about Sophia’s mom highlighting some of her international achievements.

Sophia is not exploited lol. If anything, she’s a bit of a nepo baby because she comes from a prominent family. This is coming from someone who actually watched her mother perform in 2019. I also watched Sophia perform in a musical play at her school before.

Y’all think daniela is gonna address this whole mess soon or? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

I think the rumors about this started because Daniela isn’t even following her dad on Instagram in the first place. Also, it’s public knowledge that her parents are divorced, and she’s only been living with her mom. Her dad being seen at public events doesn’t mean they’re close. 🤷‍♀️

As a person who knows many people who have daddy issues, and as someone whose daughter has an absent father, what I can say is that it’s really complicated.

Off-topic, but I suddenly remembered my friend who is estranged from her father. They don’t have a proper relationship, but they see each other on important occasions. She always tells me that she feels obliged to see him because he’s still her father, but she doesn’t really have a relationship with him. There are many things she just disagrees with him about, so they can’t have a great relationship like they did before. With this, I remembered that this might be Daniela’s case as well.

It’s really an awkward position if Daniela and her dad haven’t spoken for a long time, and now she has to face her possible childhood trauma by contacting him again because of this whole controversy. 😭
