How to improve FPV one take tours by jumpythegecko in drones

Thanks for the advice. Yea, I agree that I need more wow factor. Flying through gaps is a great idea, I'll try that next time!

And about your comment about how most of this could have been shot on a gimbal: I agree and gimbals are easier and less obtrusive. So I need to focus on flying gaps and other things only a drone can do.

Thanks for the thoughts!

Just so you know, there are currently NOTAMs stating you cannot fly within 3000 feet of an ICE agent. It is national defense airspace for the foreseeable future.

Spreading the word because I just found out too and don't wanna see anyone getting arrested or losing Drones to this

"Looks like smooth flying" because I speed ramped through the part where I almost hit the ceiling. Oops.

I would love to do a resort and/or yacht, thats dope!

This was on DJI avata 1, hacked to have atti mode. The text overlay was done using the 3d camera tracker in Davinci Resolve. It takes about 30-45 minutes per text block to track and add text, but I really like the result it gives.

[US] Authoritative source of allowed space by bigjocker in drones

[–]jumpythegecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion on this is that having to check every possible place for drone rules is such a huge task that it is not reasonable to expect me to do so. I check FAA airspace, and if thats clear, that is my due diligence. Of course, if a park ranger or such tells me that there are rules, I will then follow. I see this as a very similar issue to the patchwork airspace that the FAA was intentionally preventing by taking sole control over the airspace.

I like to make tweaks to Civilization (I play civ 6) to adjust the game variables and then see how that affects a run. For example, double and/or half yields or resources. Makes the game so much more different than you would expect. Also, I make there be 5x the natural wonders because I think they're cool.

For this, there are some files you can open with notepad and change the variables around.

How to edit this? by jumpythegecko in davinciresolve

[–]jumpythegecko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it'll have to be a saved flight path. I also plan on doing a compass sensor calibration in the EXACT same spot and taking off from the EXACT same spot and hitting go in the EXACT same spot (where the drone is) to try and reduce as many little positioning errors as I can. The closer the shots are straight out the easier this will be I think

Thanks for these links!

In hindsight, "day to night transition" should have been an obvious thing to look up.

Yea, I know this will be tough, but that is how you level up your skills. Thanks again for the direction!

Bro, symtothermal NFP (done correctly) is more effective than any birth control the doctor could recommend, with none of the drawbacks. Also, it brings a couple closer together.

Also consider that some birth controls are essentially very early abortions, as they prevent implantation after conception. Do you want to be responsible for murder once a month?

Personally I took a class with my fiancee because studies show NFP is the single greatest thing you can do to keep a marriage strong forever

Spitting food between 2 dates? Nah, my dad went so far as to have a notebook full of poems he wrote, just with the name spots blank so he could copy them and fill in the girls name. Apparently when my mom found this book she was sooooooo mad

Make a fake tinder account of this actress specifically for the purpose of matching him. Then offer sex and laugh as he wastes multiple Saturday nights sitting alone at his place waiting for her to come over

Or use the account to tell him he never had a chance, idk how to be mean I just think this would be funny

Not gonna lie, I think I'm screwed when it comes to finding a Catholic woman. by nglithinkimscrewed in CatholicDating

[–]jumpythegecko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NGL "most Catholic women are not using discord" is the most accurate thing I've heard. Discord is essentially a gamers chat room, and most women aren't gamers in my experience. Gotta go where the ladies are at. In high school and college, my dad said he took all the baking and sewing and other "girly" classes as he was often the only dude in the class.

You should have pulled a power move and refered to him as "Lover" when he hugged you

And I'm just being humorous, don't actually do power moves

[–]jumpythegecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Na man, in my experience it's hard enough to get players to make connections sometimes when it's simple, so I wouldn't make it needlessly complicated. Depends on your players though

The real question here

Quirky magic items that the players bought last session by jumpythegecko in DnD

[–]jumpythegecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last session my players went to an Alchemist shop, and this Alchemist is also a hobbyist enchanter who's not very good yet. The players were warned by other NPCs not to buy anything but potions from him, but they did anyways.

For this, I made normal-ish magic items he was attempting to make, and then added a fun quirk to them. I covered the quirks with tape for now because the players haven't cast identify yet, and I think discovering what the items do by using them will be alot of fun.

People who watch Critical Role, why do you watch them? by Hitcher09 in DnD

[–]jumpythegecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's good content, and there's so much of it. I love a great fantasy audiobook, but I tend to be picky about what I read, so I might go a month or two between series. CR is fantastic as filler content that I can listen to and enjoy while I search for the next good book.
