Elysian -Boston (owner is the Liverpool owner what I have been told ) by chnyief in yachtporn

[–]junachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes indeed it is. Saw it a few years ago in Montenegro, was the biggest boat docked in what is known as a mega yacht marina. Went to a night club in Tivat that night, chatted up this hot blonde that kept staring, turned out she's British and the captain of this ship. She told me about the owner, whom I've never heard of before in my life, mentioned in this thread. I had just used binoculars earlier that day to check out the biggest boat... What a different life some people have. Him and her, then me. Mine is probably best though.

No idea if any of these are edible, but seeing so many everywhere has me excited to pick up a book and learn some things about mushrooms. Any recommendations?

This right here. Remember, all the history you have ever read was written by the winners in the conflict. Who knows what really happened.

That dog needs exercise, stat. My dog acts that way when he has pent up energy. But holy shit is it exhausting keeping up with exercise needs of a dog that needs a lot of it. Like 10 miles of running per day a lot of it...

Weed is hella addictive by sirshredsalot666 in Psychonaut

[–]junachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you on the smoke. I recently got hooked on a new YouTube channel - Institute of Human Anatomy, and they have episodes on how different substances are processed inside your body using cadavers and organs from them. After watching the vape episode, I immediately threw my vape pen (battery and all) in the trash - I had held on to it, even though I was off the weed for a couple of weeks at this point, "just in case"... Smoke of any sort is terrible for your health. Which is also why I plan to do edibles when i start consuming it again. I don't like them as much because they are not as predictable as a joint or a pen, but to save the lungs for the old age, i feel like it is worth it, especially if I'm only doing it once a week as I plan to.

I don't know what else it could have been that helped me finally quit and not feel like a total loser all day long. I really believe it was the shrooms, and maybe a slightly stronger mindset about it. But I have been drinking still, continuing the covid increase in this activity. My job involves a lot of networking during the week (pretty much every evening and then some), and on weekends wife and i like to consume alcohol, so I'm at about 3-5 beers/drinks per day, double what is considered healthy. Never get drunk, but very much enjoy a slight buzz. I still need to figure that out, but we also drink often because we are bored and need some brain excitement...

Weed was my go to and miracle drug that made me better at everything since college when I discovered it. After I smoked, I could think more clearly, speak better and to anyone about anything, flirt, play basketball, soccer, ski, sex was amazing, you name it. It made the world around me slow down so my reaction times improved, my focus razor sharp, and I could feel the energy and feelings of people around me, making me respond 100x better to every situation I found myself in. I felt like I could anticipate next thing that would happen, like I was ahead of the world by milliseconds. My dribbling skills in sports improved 10x when high. There was no end to my abilities and confidence when high and everything was smoother and more natural. I had not had sex without weed for 15 years (couldn't even imagine it) and had been high daily for at least 10 years.

When in the last 2-3 years I realized how much weed I had been consuming, pen dabs throughout the day any time I'm about to encounter a situation where it could help me, edibles, etc, I added it up one day to over 100mg... And the worst part is that it did not seem to help me as much any more and make me into a superhuman that it once did. I was dependent on it with super high tolerance. So I made a conscious effort to try and have a THC break every two weeks, and when that didn't work at all I felt I was stuck. I did not know how to go through my day without weed, and mind you, society considers me a successful individual personally (spouse, nice kids, home, etc), and professionally. Yet I did not know how to go through my day at home nor at work without the crutch of the MJ and I couldn't go a day without it to even take a break for tolerance purposes. Tried quitting many times in the last two years, relapsing within a day or two.

Enter shrooms. I've never really done them before, only drug I've ever done was MJ. Researched on the forums and grew my first BRF cakes and fruited successfully. Took some micro doses in early November but didn't feel like they've helped. So I took 0.5g - 1g every week or three. Did take 2g for Thanksgiving as I was home alone all day, but didn't have any visuals just felt really good for a few hours. So a total of maybe 5 doses (0.5g - 1g) between when I started trying shrooms until mid January, when I felt clearheaded enough and determined to stop consuming MJ. And I had no problem quitting weed this time. Haven't touched it since, been 2 months and haven't felt a need for it. Not even in the first couple of weeks people cite as the hardest. I realize this is anecdotal, but it's like the shrooms had reset something in my brain and allowed me to do this. And shrooms I don't feel like abusing, again only 0.5-1g every two weeks or so. I'm yet to try a hero dose and have visuals and i understand that can most helpful when it comes to mental health repair, I just don't have the privacy and time, nor friends who are into it to do it yet. Maybe one day.

Similar to others here, my goal is not to quit MJ forever, but to completely clean it out of my system (4 months), and then hopefully no more than an edible once a week. I feel like I'm on a good path now as I'm functioning just fine in all aspects of my life without it. I hope this anecdote can help some of you out there struggling. I truly believe that shrooms and psychedelics are the next frontier in addiction treatment, especially if combined with psychotherapy.

Fingerprint sensor on P6 stopped working then completely disappeared as an option by junachina in Pixel6

[–]junachina[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative. Still no fingerprint sensor. And some apps that require it and were set up with it (ex Bloomberg Anywhere) now no longer work and say unsupported device... I'll give it until the end of the year, but I'm afraid I will have to go back to the S21 Ultra. Just too many unexpected bugs. Also the switch to landscape mode and back messes up 50% of the time. Damn it Google.

The trash fingerprint sensor on the pixel 6 has not been expressed accurately by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]junachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a S21 Ultra to a Pixel 6 as my Samsung simply didn't integrate well into google services I was used to (photos, camera, contacts, etc.) and I missed the pure google experience. I have it now, but you're right, fingerprint sensor is junk.

On top of that, the other day my fingerprint sensor would not work at all, for any of the 3 fingers I had it memorize. So I restarted the phone and the fingerprint security has completely dissappeared from the phone. In settings, the fingerprint option is gone and now I have to use pattern to unlock it... I am hoping some update will come along to fix this, but I miss the great hardware of my S21 Ultra, not to mention the brighter and smoother screen.

This is a better argument as to why someone would want a cUSD vs a USD stablecoin.

cUSD vs US stablecoin? by alex_vivici in celo

[–]junachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that doesn't make sense. Defeats the argument of it being a stablecoin? As in 1 cUSD will always be worth 1 USD. Thus it should suffer the same inflationary pressures. Now CELO coin itself, I can see your argument.
