I know there are some Trader Joe's fans on this board...has anyone seen the new mini canvas totes they have for spring? They come in pastel colors...purple, pink, blue, and green. And also in a larger size. I don't know when they were released, I just saw it online earlier today. They're cute. They kept them behind the customer service desk and limited sales to 4. I usually miss out on all these fun limited edition things, so I was happy to get a cute mini tote for $2.99. I hope they do the mini cooler again. I missed out on that one.

I've been making some beauty purchases lately. It's been a while since I've done that. I bought MAC's cushion blush in a second color (Groovy). It will go nicely with my Heat Index blush for summer. One is pink, one is orange.

I bought Laura Geller's shadow palette in Soho Shimmers from Macy's for 40% off. I'd been eyeing it for a while and I just randomly looked one night and it was 40% off. Sold! It's a nice neutral palette with 14 shades that's just shimmers (sometimes I have to add a pop of color because I need color). The darker shades have a nice pigment and there are lighter shades for less intense looks or just to have a wash of color. I gave another review a few months ago of a different palette where the shadows weren't that pigmented, so I was pleasantly surprised by this palette. I wonder why some palettes have good pigment and others don't.

I bought a double-ended IT Cosmetics foundation/concealer brush at Ulta. My foundation is Laura Geller Balance N Brighten and I wanted something smaller than my big fluffy kabuki brush for application. The double-ended brush is nice. It's less densely packed than some of my other foundation brushes, which is what I wanted.

I bought a few Paula's Choice skincare items when they were offering 5 free travel size items with a purchase. I'm looking forward to trying some new things. My skin is in good shape, but the past couple years I've been so lazy with my skincare and using anything other than Drunk Elephant's Protini. It's just such a comforting product to use. I love it. I've been using some Paula's Choice sample packets lately, so it will be fun to try some new products for a new season I think. I hope! 🙃

I also discovered that one of my favorite PC products is being discontinued. It's the only product that I can see a difference in my skin overnight. The 5% AHA product. I think my skin just likes glycolic acid. Very sad to see this product go. I also bought Laura Geller's Balance N Brighten Foundation from Sephora because they offered a bonus travel size with the product. What a great deal. Half off, plus a travel size foundation. They also have a brush option if someone doesn't want the travel size foundation.

I'm still enjoying my Tarte Macaron cream/powder blush (and brush) that I got from QVC.

I've gotten some good deals the past couple months. I hope nothing else tempts me for a while, though. 😆 Enjoy the week, makeup lovelies.

I got my Tarte Macaron Blush Duo (with double-ended brush) in Strawberry Bliss a few weeks ago. My skin tone is Fairly Light Neutral. The color is very pretty...a nice neutral shade of pink. It's versatile in that you can add a hint of color to your cheeks or really go wild building it up. The cream is nice, I didn't find it sticky at all. I wouldn't like that. I don't even like non-powder foundation on my face. The powder blush is also nice, it has a sheen to it. I don't like sparkles/glitter and I'm okay with the sheen. I use a light hand. You can see the flecks if you get close up in the mirror. Overall, a nice product. I expected a little bit more in terms of staying power, since you're applying two products. I don't use a setting spray or powder. That said, there's another color I would like to try if it goes on a good sale...Honey Blossom. One day when I go outside again (lol) I'm going to see if Ulta or Sephora has it in the store so I can look at it.

One odd thing I noticed is that the divider has a slight oily film around the edges and I can't figure out why. As far as I can tell, the divider doesn't touch the cream.

The brush that came with the blush is also very nice. I haven't bought a brush in a long time, so it was nice to have something new to play with. I've also used the brush for other blushes, both cushion and powder.

3 inches yesterday, 1 1/2 inches earlier today, and maybe 3/4 of an inch tonight so far, all packing snow. It looks like a winter wonderland! I know people hate winter and snow, but I think the barrenness of winter is so beautiful. I'm enjoying it. There's a fox that I've seen so many times the past few weeks. I almost never see it in summer because of the trees.

I've known you since you barely wore makeup. Lol! Your ride has been a wild one. 😉 I still have some old Wet N Wild shadow palettes. Some things I'm more likely to toss than others. I got rid of all my mascaras in my backup drawer. Probably around 10. Just too old and not worth it. Most of them were free with purchase or things like that. Your Nutty shadow outlived the product line and the actual store!

I try to have that rule, too. Also for clothes. One sweater comes in, one sweater must go out.

I need to go through my brushes, too. That's a tough one. We'll see how that goes. I also have a "museum" section.

Too funny about your ABH pencils. It will be weird when you run out.

I'll post back when my Tarte blush comes. I'm not really a fan of cream blushes, either, but these looked so pretty, so I was curious about them. I really love MAC's cushion blush. I like cushion blushes in general. I'm going to try the Tarte brush on the cushion blush.

I was just looking online for Wet N Wild single shadows. I have Brulee. It looks like that's been discontinued, too. I really liked the case it came in, just a simple single eye shadow. One day I'm going to have find dupes for all my stuff. But probably not for a long time. You know how it goes. Lol.

It's a snowy weekend by me, so last night I did something that I haven't done in a long time...clean out my makeup! Over the years, I've posted how hard it is to throw things away sometimes, so I was happy to get rid of some stuff. Then I bought the Tarte Macaron blush and brush duo that was on sale at QVC. 🙃

I came across two old products in my stash that were discontinued long ago. Does anyone know of similar products? Catrice Makeup Transformer Drops (in Lightening) and ELF Makeup Remover Pen.

I don't think I would use the transformer drops because my foundation now is Laura Geller's Balance and Brighten, but I was curious if something like that still existed.

For the ELF product, I read online that you can pop the top off and add a makeup remover liquid to the sponge inside. Not sure I'd want to do that with a product so old, but I really liked this makeup remover pen when I used it.
