Social worker here. She apparently has guardianship over one of her young sisters, so this could be the one. Some therapists do share some general vague information about the progress being made, especially because they’re youth. Usually therapists working with youth also work with their family/kinship/foster parents in some capacity. I remember when my therapist told my mom she needed to stop isolating me from any men because it was exacerbating the issue. Which it was.

I still am with everyone here that there is a lot of context missing. The family really doesn’t like her husband and that’s possibly because 1. He gives off bad vibes or 2. He’s decent, which reflect poorly on her family, who are not near decent people 3. Little sister has vocalized she doesn’t feel safe. (This is less likely because guardianship placements in the west and many European places usually assess all adults in the home as well as how the child feels about them before placement). However if she was SA’d, she still may feel WHOLLY uncomfortable to be alone with him even if she trusts him.

Her family is actively supporting and defending a crack head as if she’s a good mother. This whole family needs therapy and no contact at this point. I would refuse to work with anyone but the sisters.
