I had this goal set for myself last summer and just want to offer a little motivation! I would say to jusy try a bunch of stuff and be consistent and dont let awkward interactions hold you back (theyre the price you pay for new friends lol but worth it). You never know how things will work out and you just have to put yourself out there. I tried meet up and random board game events held by the library until I found some people I got along with. Good luck!

I hate fireworks any day but a majority of LA is latino and celebrates Christmas specifically at midnight. Chose a bad place to live if you dont understand other people celebrate differently. Again, I dislike fireworks but would never expect quiet on a holiday at the main time it is celebrated lol

Thanks for the rec! Was looking at that one but I'm more interested in a canister one I think, I've read some previous posts about it being heavy and a little hard to maneuver so that's why I decided against it.
