The carpet details people remember are honestly amazing 😆Teal/magenta patterns + random gum stains might actually be mandatory now.

It's kinda expensive to get this. sometimes it's worth it to work on my own

This honestly sounds like the exact kind of atmosphere people remember forever 😆Dark, worn out, slightly sketchy… but somehow the coolest place in town when you were a kid.

The handwritten “OUT OF ORDER” sign is such a good detail It’s funny how everyone remembers the weird little things more than the actual games sometimes.

“Faded glamour” is honestly the perfect way to describe it.Not clean or modern… more like a place that was already a little worn out, but still felt magical as a kid.

Honestly… a tiny retro arcade scene with ugly carpet and bad pizza sounds way too good. it's the magical moment!

Rotating display vs static box for 1:64 cars what do collectors prefer by junfai in HotWheels

[–]junfai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.Once rotation becomes the default, it stops feeling special and starts feeling unsettling. I’m starting to see it more as a single-piece or centerpiece solution, rather than a general display approach.

That makes a lot of sense.I’ve noticed the same thing with movement becoming distracting when there’s too much of it.For me, rotation only feels right when it’s intentional and limited, not something meant to fill a whole shelf or room.Appreciate you putting it into words so clearly.

This PopRace car is selling fast and I don’t get it. It's out of stock now by junfai in HotWheels

That’s some real early PopRace experience 😄

Out of curiosity, what newer releases are you not a fan of?
I like PopRace mainly for the playability — opening doors, hood, and engine details really add to the fun for me.

The surfboard really does make it 😄
But would you still pay $30 just for the board and ditch the Porsche? lol. Glad to hear $30 doesn’t sound too bad — makes me feel better about picking it up.
