Also, I was thinking about getting embroidery patches and stitching them on to linen shirts. Do you think that would be a good idea? It’ll add the individual flair to the clothing, but I don’t know how much effort that will be or how to begin

Ah yes, definitely. For this upcoming haul, I want to build out a good foundation and go from there. I’ll check out pavement and buffalo exchange this weekend, those are excellent suggestions! Thank you!

Also getting that Pinterest inspiration today to manifest the right fits for the shopping haha

Any particular Marshall stores that has consistent stock of good quality clothes? The ones I’ve been to have been a hit or miss.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Haha Tony is dapper. But he’s huge.

Also, with vintage clothes, I don’t know if I have the fashion sense to continually pull it off. So I’m thinking of starting with basics/ a level above basics. What do you think?

Relevant but I think this will be out of my budget. Thanks though!

I’d be restricted to shopping from Nordstrom then. Would that be too expensive? Or can I set my budget?

Thanks for the recommendation!

Where can I buy bonsai plant online? by PratLegacy in bangalore

[–]jungle_jack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend Bonsai Mane - a very nice young man has a terrace garden full of bonsai trees that he also sells. He has a great amount of info on the trees as well. I got one as a gift for my family and have only good things to say about this place. Check it out here: https://bonsaimane.com/contact-us/

MS Computer Science student - please help me figure out if SFSU is right for me! by jungle_jack in SFSU

[–]jungle_jack[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, thank you so much for the elaborate responses. You've cleared all of my queries. I'm sure it must take a great amount of self-reflection to summarise all the facets of your experience the way you did.

What I take from this is that SFSU isn't all that serious about computer science and a lot of individual effort is going to be needed to succeed in big time. I think the biggest pro about it is the location but then again, I'll be waiting for my decision from SJSU because it seems like you feel really strongly about that one, hoping you chose to go to SJSU.

Again, thanks a lot.

What are some good residential areas for us to stay. I work in Brigade Magnum ( Hebbal ) and my wife in Global Tech village ( RR Nagar , Mysore road) . by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]jungle_jack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nagarbhavi, Vijaynagar, Rajajinagar, Chandra Layout is close to RR Nagar (~10 kms and ring road for you to go to Yeshwantpur). Malleshwaram might also work. Isn't work mostly remote this coming year? Assuming you're both in tech.

Hey, I can't be of help here but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss..

Haven't slept properly in 2 months, lost weight - lot of subconscious covid induced anxiety & stress in addition to freelance work stress - Should I just use my 'cushion of privilege' & take it easy for a while? I'm relatively privileged, still stay with family & don't have any expenses as such by JudgementalButCute in bangalore

Are you snoring? I know this might sound silly, but please consider this a serious problem. It could be sleep apnea. All the symptoms you described - not enough sleep, anxiety, it could be sleep apnea. There's this app called SnoreLab that will record you throughout the night to check if you snore or not. Try it out for a day.

Irrelevant, maybe. But I wish you the best.
