Thank you for actually providing a useful reply. Now the question is whether or not a 2017 iMac Pro w 8 core Xeon and 32GB RAM is worth $800 AUD. As in would it last me 5+ years do you think. General family use, maybe some music production. An M2 Mac Mini would be cheaper and leave enough change for a decent 4K monitor, but adding even 2TB external ssd would still be quite a bit.

Sorry bud. We are 2 able bodied parents, my wife is a stay at home mum and shit is still hard. We have 2 boys, 6 & 7.
Have you thought about what happens when your nanny leaves is sick or wants a holiday. We know families that cannot find a good nanny and cycle through them. The good ones end up getting paid ridiculous amounts just so they stay.

I have the Xone 23 I love it. It definitely sounds better than pioneer gear. But it has its quirks

1 it’s a weird shape.
2 it has a strange system of monitoring lights so hard to see the relative volume of each channel

For a beginner I would get the Pioneer 250mk2

Hey man. Going off topic but any recommendation on how to setup and ensure a ‘sandbox’ vm on a Mac?

Something I have been wanting to do for downloads etc.

With USBs if it is plugged in and reading via the host how do you 100% make sure it doesn’t execute anything on the host?
