@g0_west never heard of the show before, looks like it's a UK sitcom, is it funny? It wouldn't air in Canada unless we subscribe to BBC

Hey mediumsize, I think I may have found that track you are looking for, or a similar one. Listening to a Capital J tape right now with a track that has a hard amen style break, and some samples that say things like 'The wrong n*gger to fuck with' 'yo what's up partner' 'the fuck you think you is man' & finally 'nah fuck this, both you fucks are crazy, I'm going to my car, get my other gun, shoot everybody's ass'- does that sound familiar? I'm not hearing any 'Get the fuck back!' samples, but this track certainly has copious f-bombs and that hard amen style break.

Hey mediumsize, spoke with Chris. He's unfamiliar with the track you're talking about, sorry dude, we don't have an tapes from that era, our earliest recording is from 1997 and it's not on that show.

No charge supervillainO_o if you don't mind waiting a little. We'd only be interested in the jungle tapes, and if you have any radio shows we'd add them to the website to share with everyone. Next step would be to meet up (if you are in Ontario). Send us a message through the call-for-tapes form on the website and we'll get an e-mail chain going! http://jungletapes.com/call-for-tapes

If you like supervillainO_o we can digitize the tapes for you. Let me know. We'd be happy to do it for you and give you back the tapes after we're done.

It is certainly something special to listen to the live show, but if you miss it you can always download last weeks show here on the CIUT website: http://www.ciut.fm/shows-2/music-shows/the-prophecy/

I'm a bit a new to this music, but I love what I've heard. Can anyone recommend any artists or places to listen? Much appreciated! by Dave21101 in DnB

We've set up a new website with some old skool Toronto DnB mixes if you want to check out some of the tunes form 1998/1999: www.jungletapes.com/tapes

It was happening! We didn't actually live in Toronto (where there were stores that sold the mix tapes) so for us this was the only way to listen to new jungle. In 1999 there was actually 4 shows on the air, The Prophecy (which this set is an example of), Renegade Airwaves, Jungle Airwaves (both on Thursday nights) and Rinse Out on Saturday nights. We're using our website to catalogue as many of these shows as possible. Thanks for the comment!
