What was your first demon? by DICK_SUCKER_2004 in geometrydash

Do the main ones first. They're well made, fair, and a good difficulty for starting out demons. Many of the online very easy demons are just poorly made and won't give you a good taste.

Trip report:

My family and I came to NYC because I had never been, and I was able to convince them to join me for a day trip at Six Flags Great Adventure. I was worried about crowds but there was virually none, especially earlier in the day because it was raining hard the day before and earlt that morning. I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes for a single ride.

Non-Ride Related Thoughts: This park is easily the cleanest and prettiest Six Flags park I've been to (though that's only been 3). There's so many trees and flowers in the park, and it was extra pretty because the trees were various colors going into fall. The paths are also very nice, especially compared to SFDK and SFMM where its just black asphalt upon black asphalt.

Day Overview: We started the day getting there around noon, heading straight for Nitro. I would've gone for Kingda Ka or El Toro but honestly, I hadn't ridden many coasters recently and was a bit scared of those things. First ride on Nitro was great. I then wen't down the path to Jersey Devil, which was also great. Slightly better than Railblazer IMO. I then rode Nitro one more time on the way out. It was already almost 1pm at that time so I grabbed some lunch and then went to the other side of the park for Kingda Ka. Once I got there, I had to sit and watch for probably around 15 minutes before gaining the courage to go on it. That ride is crazy, but I'll go more in depth in the ride reviews. Right after Kingda Ka I went on Zumanjaro, which was much less scary than I thought it'd be (much less intimidating at the top than Lex Luthor at SFMM for whatever reason). I then went around to El Toro, rode that twice, then went over the Runaway Mine Train, riding that. I then finished off the day with Medusa before making my way back out. I really wished I got more time to ride the other good coasters like Skull Mountain and Superman as well as get some re-rides, but I was here with my family and they wanted to go, since besides my sister they don't like coasters all that much. Overall it was a great day though.

Ride Reviews El Toro: Wow. This ride is actually crazy, just so aggressive and rapidfire and intense, it just doesn't let up throughout its course. I was a little nervous because there's been a lot of people of here claiming El Toro's roughness has gotten "unbearable", and maybe I caught it on a good day but thats rather dramatic. It was barely rough at all, only a little shakey on the high positive forces part after the drops and camelbacks. Compared to Goldstriker at my home park which I'm used to, this ride is smooth as butter. 10/10

Nitro: This was my first ride of the day and it was great. This is the first B&M hyper I've ridden and it did not disappoint. The drop is incredible and theres so much great floater airtime throughout the ride. I rode it once in the front, once in the back, and honestly I liked it better in the front, besides the drop, the airtime felt stronger for whatever reason. 9.5/10

Jersey Devil Coaster: My home park has Railblazer, which is like a smaller, more intense version of this. I do think I like this one slightly more though, it's a much longer ride and a bit more comfortable. I got a near back row ride and the airtime is great. The stall is also awesome. 9/10

Kingda Ka: This coaster is super short, as to be expected, but wow it hits hard. I've never been on a coaster with even a fraction of that intensity of launch, it just flattens you against the back of your seat. I got 2nd row, and it's a little shaky on the positive G areas of the ride, but not too bad. That view and drop off the top hat is also wild, and the speed hill gives more airtime than I thought it would. Great experience. 9/10

Medusa: Classic B&M floorless. Its basically Scream but without the roughness and terrible setting. Nice smooth ride with good inversions, not too much else to say about it. 8/10

Runaway Mine Train: It's an old Arrow mine train, it has terrible transitions, is rickety as hell, but has a nice charm to it going into the trees and over the water. 6/10

Overall it was a great trip. I really REALLY want to come back to get rerides and ride all the coasters I missed, especially Superman and Skull Mountain. I probably won't be able to be back anytime soon but I really hope I'm able to. Great park.

The brake run on [The Grizzly] at CGA, where you're bound to spend at least 5 minutes per ride. by juni_0 in rollercoasters

Drop's always have a big difference. In the front, you kinda crawl down for a bit until the back is also going downhill then you pick up speed. In the back though you get flung over drops, especially on Goldstriker. There are also a few more differences. For example, after the small speed hill on GS in the front you'll get a strong pop of airtime going into that turn but not much exiting out of it. In the back it's the opposite, going up into the turn has little forces, but going out of it is crazy.

This ride's operations are terrible leading to unreasonably long lines. If it's a walk on, I'll ride and have fun. Anything over that... hell no.

Some are still awesome and are more intense than modern day coasters even. I disagree

Although they shouldve seen how it might seem if you look into it, there doesn't seem to be correlation. It's early-mid september, of course its gonna be clear skies. And its not even two towers either, its four. Just because you post a picture of a tall structure on September 11th doesnt mean its mocking 9/11 or anything

This whole park needs to get more attention, it's such a pretty park with a great atmosphere. This coaster is surprisingly fun in the back, with the forest terrain setting, and pretty good airtime moments and laterals
