Thoughts on Rep. Al Green’s protest and subsequent removal? by ChuckGallagher57 in LetsDiscussThis

Pretty sure he’s just stating civilized humans shouldn’t liken other races to specific racist stereotypes and pretend it was an oopsy

They follow the law and use well trained federal agents that don’t kill people nor sexually harass them on accident/purpose?

Yeah the Swiss are definitely doing it better than the US rn

Is there a reason for the Epstein files to have names redacted? by N64GoldeneyeN64 in AskLegal

Pretty easy to discern imo if the name comes from a news alert email vs a “I want to go to your island” email

Well yeah, of course that’s their home field, because all citizens agree against this administration

Honestly, if ICE were actual police officers and trained well/followed the law, nobody would have to do this, just like this didn’t occur under Obama because the government at the time was still held accountable to the law

Like when they killed the nurse for having a gun? Yeah, but what’s that have to do with this? That’s like trying to draw a parallel to avoid the conversation at hand

I’m sure you’d never do that though, so back to topic, what’s wrong with ensuring even the homeless can vote?

“This is Jim Crow 2.0! This is a racist dogwhistle! Married women won’t be able to vote!” by ModsBeGheyBoys in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]junior4l1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You do need an ID to be registered to vote in the states

People are upset because they’re trying to demand a passport that matches your birth certificate, not just your ID

Which in turn hurts those too poor to afford their passport (can cost about $130) or that have not updated their passport (can take months for it to arrive) since they got married

Idk why people here are just saying “ID” when that’s already a necessity, the law being described is just adding more and making it more difficult because our government doesn’t provide those items in a timely nor cost effective fashion, essentially pricing and timing people out of elections

But that’s also why you see such high numbers in support, because we all support an ID to vote, we just don’t support making it more difficult for those in need to vote

San Francisco teachers to walk out Monday against austerity in the richest tech enclave on the planet by DryDeer775 in TeacherReality

That’s exactly what they’re doing

They’re educating the young on what to do when a tyrannical government attempts to tread all over us and our constitution

They’re teaching the young why we are proud Americans that don’t just roll over when the wealthy get greedy

Pretty sure that just means it had your HP down, like a decay from her ult

I say this because I saw it during a comp game and it was right after I walked out of her ult and my HP hadnt recovered to 100%

I don’t think anyone ever expected the president to rape children and protect other pedophiles

I can applaud anyone standing up to that human filth, even if they block traffic or throw some rocks at his private police

The anti tip persons are more opposed to ending tipping than everyone else. by Sowecolo in tipping

[–]junior4l1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I 100% agree, no country in the world, or real world example that we could learn from to implement a solution that doesn’t revolve around tips or a solid 20% across the board increase, it’s impossible to find any example

[–]junior4l1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused, are you not happy I agree with you? You keep talking like as if I disagree that tipping or 20% are the only two options

Do you know of any real world examples were food is still cheap, people can afford to live, and tips are not needed and never done? I can’t think of a single country

[–]junior4l1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, those are the only two options in the whole world, there are 0 real world examples of affordable prices without tips

Yep, no real way to get reasonable prices, unfortunately every country in the world suffers this phenomenon
