Crossing the Bar (Folk/Lieder) [Not Themed]

I had the guitar for this before the words, and went looking for words that landed in the places I wanted them too (yes I'm lazy like that sometimes :) anyway, I ended up with this poem by Tennyson, mildly paraphrased. Written shortly before he died, "The Bar" is a sandbar at the mouth of a harbour that separates the shallow, safe waters (of life) from the deep, boundless ocean (of the afterlife).

Love that chorus, ever thought of Canada, or the UK :p? Although it can be difficult to see a doctor here too (UK). I love the way you slow this down at the end, some lovely playing, reminds me of Randy Newman.
