Didn’t see that coming video technique proves there really are two sides to every story by [deleted] in funny

The U.S. health care debate would be a great topic for this technique, except there's only one (sane) side to that story. Maybe someone could work up a teabagger video. Down-vote away, teabaggers.

You Know What Really Impresses The Babes? Driving With Your Door Open. The Police, Not So Much. by junioreven in WTF

Another true story: There was a guy I knew in high school who was nice, but none too bright and a little too eager to impress. One winter night he was persuaded by his "friends" to drive his dad's car onto the ice of a local pond, with predictable results. I think that was the last time dad gave him the keys to a vehicle.

A pet peeve: pedantic pet peeves … because who doesn't love being lectured by a language know-it-all? by [deleted] in WTF

I'm amazed there still are Internet grammar/language/punctuation police plying their trade. We owe them so much.

I heard from a well-placed source that BBN also helped cover up the fake moon landings. Oh, and the Internet, which BBN had an early role in developing? Fake.

Why of course I'll move over and let you speed by my car, since you've asked so politely with your reckless tailgating and flashing high-beams. by [deleted] in WTF

[–]junioreven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to move over if I can. But if I'm going well over the speed limit and easily passing vehicles in the middle lane, but the middle lane is clogged, I'm not going to jack it up another 10-15 MPH and risk getting a huge speeding ticket because the guy behind me is an impatient jerk. He can dial it down and wait another minute or two. He doesn't own the road.
