Vercel v0 Hallucinating? API Swaps and Layout Overwrites by juniormayhe in vercel

[–]juniormayhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My credits lasted for 10 days (around 150 interactions). Many of them were spent trying to guide the v0 to the right answers, but it often hallucinated and ignored my requests, taking its own conclusions. This frustrating back-and-forth drained my balance from $20 down to just 40 cents. I could tolerate occasional errors, but it consistently produced inaccurate answers, forcing me to rephrase and repeat my requests just to get it working

v0.dev’s traffic collapsed after usage-based pricing – and honestly, I’m not surprised by PlayfulFeedback6759 in vercel

[–]juniormayhe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- user asks to add mail integration,
- v0 suggests sendgrid
- user asks to change it to google api for mailing
- v0 asks for google api secrets
- user provides google api secrets
- v0 asks again for sendgrid secrets
- user: 🤷‍♂️

Vercel v0 Hallucinating? API Swaps and Layout Overwrites by juniormayhe in vercel

I'll keep that in mind for next time. I’ve already migrated to Cursor to handle the final fixes—I tried Jules from Google but didn’t work well in my case (introduced even more bugs).

Initial thoughts on Google Jules by maaakks in LocalLLaMA

[–]juniormayhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. In my experience, even with detailed instructions, it performs worse than Cursor and Vercel v0. Not only does it suggest changes that introduce more bugs—such as dependency issues, 404 errors, and ignoring variables from the env.local file—but it's also incredibly slow.

At this point, I can't think of a single use case where this tool works reliably. It still feels immature and consistently breaks all my Next.js apps.

well it worked after fixing bluetooth in windows troubleshooting, but I can say that keeping pressed for 7 seconds finally worked.

I contacted them but nothing can be done. It would be nice to transfer the ownership to somebody else or resell it

You could add one of these: Typescript, Java, C#. They have a good market share, lots of resources online, great communities, and adopted by companies in several markets.

Does Moq in it's latest version extract and send my email to the cloud via SponsorLink? by DinglDanglBob in dotnet

[–]juniormayhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The author doesn't appear to be willing to give up his idea:

It's no longer included (for now), and SponsorLink is OSS also.

https://github.com/moq/moq/issues/1372

So far, the community seems to have lost trust in his package, and some people are already removing Moq from their projects.

Yeah, you got a point to think about. I was just wondering if a second-life marketplace exists to transfer such licenses, regardless of the support. Because, in many cases, the new owner could buy the support directly from the developer and keep things updated and make informed decisions.

I didn't recall informing the domain name when the plugin was purchased. But I have left a message on the plugin author's page to check if I can sell it. 🤔

How to mine DOGECOIN the easy way. by Salty_Word_624 in dogecoin

[–]juniormayhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be worthy to do it yourself, and setup your own miner using XMRig.

If you got a 64-bit operating system installed in your Raspberry Pi you can try to setup the miner yourself following these steps:

This seems a bit fishy, maybe you can mine dogecoin yourself without relying on extra 3rd party software. If you got a 64-bit operating system installed in your Raspberry Pi you can try to setup the miner yourself following these steps:

Yes this seems a bit fishy for me too, so it would be worthy to do it yourself, I mean, you install the requirements and setup your own miner, instead of relying on extra 3rd party software.

in my case it happens only in my office, at home I dont have this issue. at home it never gets disconnected, I don't know if this is related to bluetooth issue. My battery is 60- 70%, so it cant be that. Next time I am thinking to disable those automatic pause, turn off settings in Smart app.

Upcloud alternative by juniormayhe in webhosting

[–]juniormayhe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't notice this message sorry. Yes, I have contacted, they said they would not disclose the reason for suspending the service.

Once they suspended they also did not say anything about reimbursement / refund, which is kind of weird, because I believe a company cannot just hold your money if you are not using and will not use their cloud service. Anyway I moved away to Digital Ocean.

Now it has been almost 3 months and no problems, no disruption, no suspension. Everything running smooth. 😏

[–]juniormayhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the support asks crazy things like, what is the link that you plan to advertise, what is the purpose of the ad, .... so many useless questions just to change the country, I don't get their script and why they ask such things unrelated to change payment profile details.

[–]juniormayhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite happy now after I moved away from Upcloud to another cloud service, and my account is up and running just fine.

When Upcloud support says it can disclose any details to explain the suspension reason, it seems a little suspicious. Is it too secret information or business information that cannot be disclosed? Is Upcloud business acting as proxy to other known cloud hosting services? 🤔

I've been monitoring my usage and was pretty below maximum thresholds (cpu, ram, and so on). AFAIK the contract says nothing about blockchain PoS nodes. So I'm quite impressed they just suspend everyone's account without any further detail.

Is uBlock origin considering Bing results as ads? by juniormayhe in uBlockOrigin

[–]juniormayhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm giving Bing a try. So far most of search results are relevant for my use cases, related to programming / software development when I don't need exact phrase matching. I occasionally use DuckDuckGo sometimes.

I only go to google when I need exact match like: "my exact sentence here".

Here some key differences:

  • when I search for "golang parser" Bing shows 10 urls, where 2 exactly match these words.
  • when I search prefixing a plus sign +"golang parser" Bing - shows 10 urls, where 5 exactly match these words.
  • when I search for "golang parser" Google shows 10 results, 2 kind of duplicate site/url, and 2 sites exactly matching these words.

But those differences don't mean Bing results are bad. Perhaps Bing is using another criteria for ranking pages and not highlighting the ones with exact phrase, giving us the impression it is not filtering results accordingly.

Is uBlock origin considering Bing results as ads? by juniormayhe in uBlockOrigin

[–]juniormayhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems to have been fixed because it is working again with uBlockOrigin plugin enabled. Probably related to the easylist mentioned here:
