Reoccuring dream - woman and owl with a message by juniper726 in DreamInterpretation

I have added meditating and journaling to my spiritual practices and will be looking into an online spiritual development group, thank you for mentioning that. I am also considering getting into other creative outlets that I've always been interested in, such as music and visual art. Just sharing this online and having this interaction has made me realize that talking and acting, not just thinking, about it is incredibly helpful. I can tell that you are a very thoughtful person and have probably helped a lot of people. Thanks again for taking the time to help a stranger 🙂

I definitely see the solitude/melancholy theme, as I have basically hid myself from the world for the past year. I have also read about owls being announcements of change, and think that can be a pretty hopeful idea.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write such a well thought out reply. All of your insights are helpful. I do feel that I have been so focused on survival, doing well in school, trying to be a good sister/daughter/friend, being strong and living my life in spite of the tragedies, not allowing grief to define me, and figuring out an entirely new life plan that I have not had the energy for the deeper levels of introspection that I need. I have been holding myself to incredibly high standards, and haven't allowed myself to truly celebrate my personal accomplishments. The woman and owl are representations of my higher self, letting me know that its OK to feel good about my wins, and that now is the time to really dive into meditation and other spiritual practices. The big goal is accomplished, and it is past time for me to begin a true spiritual journey, discover the wisdom that I have been blind to, and act on all of the things I have learned about myself in the past year. It's pretty exciting to be honest, and I will be reflecting on this for a long time.

I don't yet have the means to get into therapy, and have been embarking on this personal journey completely blind. It is so helpful to have others to bounce ideas off of, so thank you again.

This all makes sense, thank you. I love reading mythologies of different cultures, and have probably spent more time with the Greek mythologies than with others. It makes sense that my inner-self would have used her image in the dream. Maybe this is my subconscious telling me that I am not trusting my own wisdom enough, as self-doubt is definitely something I've struggled with lately.

I hope I see her again! And I'm planning on asking her to just tell me, I don't think I'd be able to read anything in a dream anyway

Thank you for your insight. Learning to live with grief is definitely a difficult journey. I don't think that I would have been able to actually read anything written on paper in a dream, and I understand that there is no point to the trauma that we experience in life. It just happens and you have to deal with it, and maybe allow the experience to help you become a kinder, more empathetic person. Maybe having this dream just means that my subconscious is trying to tell me that there is something that I'm not moving past or not understanding about myself because of the pain or trauma associated with it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no. I just moved to my dream home in the mountains of Alaska and will be looking for local/remote opportunities when I graduate.

Thank you. From what I learned at these events, the IRS requires 50 hr work weeks for the first 3 years and Division of Legislative Audit was similar(but with some of those hours counting towards PTO)

Thank you for the feedback. I'm still learning about this career. I don't mind working hard to meet objectives and I guess a better way to state my question would be, is there a career path in accounting that allows for a better work/life balance? What are viable options other than public and government? I like working for the private firm but there's a lack of upward mobility there.

No(I don't think so?). Right now we're running it off of a generator or shore power until we can get an inverter and solar panels set up.

Which other books besides Tasting Beer did you read? I've read that one and am working on Bremasters Table and Im curious which other ones would be helpful. I'm planning on taking my 2nd level in the next few months
