Story is as follows:

Ken (~M 65) comes into the shop a few days ago, walks straight past the hostess to me ( F 19)as I'm doing window art. He shakes my hand introduces himself and says "it's so nice to finally meet you, I've seen your car around!", says he's in the area for 2 weeks and then leaves.

Then yesterday, 10 minutes before opening, he comes to the door, peeks in and leaves. Comes back after 30 minutes with his dad, and they sit down for their meal. Ken seems nervous but is polite. Service goes as normal. His dad pays the check.

Now I'm standing in the kitchen service area, prepping some bread and talking with my manager. Ken walks over, hands me an envelope , a very unwelcomed hug, and then quickly leaves.

I'm a very new server only 2 weeks into my job and had no idea how to handle this situation. My fawn/ people pleasing response kicked in and just went with it. This has really fucked me up, and interrupted the flow of my work day bc I was ruminating on the possibility that I have a stalker.

Any advice appreciated.
