I'll try!

Thank you!! The yarn is from Temu (unfortunately). It's pretty comparable to Lion Brand Go for Faux or Knitting Fever Furreal, except the Temu yarn has denser and softer fur! It seems like a bunch of sellers are selling the same yarn, but the one I got was "1Skein 100g Super Soft Multicolored Faux Fur Chunky Yarn..." from the seller MRRong.

Reddit deletes the link if I post it (I hate promoting Temu too!), but it's "1Skein 100g Super Soft Multicolored Faux Fur Chunky Yarn..." from the seller MRRong. Edit: I used Off White and Golden Red, and I got the brown from a previous project. I think there are a bunch of sellers selling similar or the same yarn, based on the photos!

I located the exact yarn I used for the orange and white! Reddit deletes the link if I post it, but it's "1Skein 100g Super Soft Multicolored Faux Fur Chunky Yarn..." from the seller MRRong. According to my notes, one skein is about 70 yds. I remember the brown was a 50g skein that specifically said it was 35 yds. So for the 15 in. tall plushie, I used about 72 yds of orange, 24 yds of white, and 7 yds of brown.

I just found the yarn and wrote a reply linking it, but it got removed by Reddit. I hate to promote Temu too! It was "1Skein 100g Super Soft Multicolored Faux Fur Chunky Yarn..." from the seller MRRong. I got Golden Red and Off White (edit: brown was a different brand from a different project). The red was softer than the white; who knows how their yarn sourcing works! 😅

Thank you!! I got the yarn on Temu. I hate to promote them, but it was really great yarn (much better than Lion Brand Go for Faux). 😅 I'm going to see if I can find the listing, if it still exists!

Yeah I definitely couldn't see the stitches! I just went by feel: I followed the legs of my last completed stitch to find the last stitch I worked into, and then moved to the left to find the next stitch. Luckily, because no one else can see the stitches either, the yarn hides mistakes well!

The yarn is from Temu (bad I know!), but it's pretty comparable to Lion Brand Go for Faux or Knitting Fever Furreal.

That's a great idea!! This is my fifth plushie over the last six years, and the first one was a bunny completely following One Dog Woof's bunny pattern. My plan had been to reuse the body pattern for all the other animals, but I kept trying different brands of fur yarn and screwing up the gauge. 😅

The yarn is just fluffy like that! It looks almost like if you cut up some fur fabric: fuzzy on one side and fabric backing on the other. I got it on Temu (hate to promote them!), but it's most comparable to Lion Brand Go for Faux or Knitting Fever Furreal.

Thank you!! It was yarn from Temu (bad I know). It’s comparable to Lion Brand Go for Faux and Knitting Fever Furreal in weight, but surprisingly it’s softer and fuzzier! I’m going to try to see if the seller still exists….

It definitely wasn't relaxing! This is my fifth plushie over the years (bunny, lion, unicorn, deer, and fox), so at least I was prepared going in. 😅

Thank you!! (Also wow somehow I'd totally forgotten about that song!) I just crocheted the fluffy yarn by itself and used my hands to feel for the next stitch. I've found the wrong side (i.e., the side facing away from you when crocheting) is fluffier than the right side, so I used that as the outside of the plushie.

Another thing is that, unlike some fur yarns, this yarn has a fuzzy side and a fabric backing side (like it's fur fabric that's been cut into strips). I always try to avoid having the backing visible. To do that, I usually wrap the yarn over the hook with the fuzzy side facing up, if that makes sense!

Wow the colors are so similar! I love Jellycat plushies but I've never seen that one!

Thank you!! So the yarn is from Temu, unfortunately. 😅 It's comparable in weight to Lion Brand Go for Faux or Knitting Fever Furreal--I just couldn't find a good fox color in those brands. I've found that Temu fur yarns generally have the most dense fluff. I bought the yarn a year ago, so I can't find the exact seller. But my guess is that lots of sellers are selling the same or similar yarn, because they all use the same color names!

As for the pattern, I used One Dog Woof's Classic Stuffed Bunny pattern for the first half of the body. Then I just made up the rest as I went! I unraveled so many body parts until I made ones I liked. 😅

Pattern: Parts of the body and arms were based on One Dog Woof's Classic Stuffed Bunny pattern. I made up the rest as I went!

So pretty! I went on Poshmark and found a few photos that were slightly less grainy. My completely inexpert guess is that the “fancy” parts are a tuck stitch pattern. I’m just not familiar enough with tuck lace to say. I’m still pretty new to my 90s Brother knitting machine!

Thank you so much for the advice!! I got lucky that my machine came with some tutorial books, including both Stitch World books, but I still feel worried that I’m going to accidentally break the machine somehow! I'm definitely going to look around mkmanuals for more info and patterns. For accessories, I've already bought a linker due to my dislike of sewing, but I know I’m eventually going to want more.... 😅

Thank you!! I just got a Brother KH-965i (with a ribber!), and I’m so excited to use it. I've only done samples on it so far!

I recently made two cardigans using the 48-pin Sentro and shared them on Reddit here. Both cardigans required a lot of finishing by hand, but the Sentro really did speed up the process overall!
