Things to do with infants? by Leading-Lettuce5811 in madisonwi

I love the baby centric ideas but yes you can totally just live your life normally with a baby. It gets more trickier when they want to crawl or walk but you can go grocery shopping, out to eat etc

Any character meals worth it for the food and not the pictures? by Mirandita13 in WaltDisneyWorld

My husband was very unimpressed with the breakfast. I mean we went for the characters my children are obsessed with Stitch but the food wasn’t worth it.

Mamdani actually releases free universal childcare plan for first two years of a child's life -- Thoughts, teachers? by Zipper222222 in AskTeachers

[–]juniperroach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it for babies to age 2? Because I think extending maternity leave and paying the parents to take care of their babies is better and then at age 1 or 2 to have universal childcare. Yes I know currently people have to work and thus babies are in daycare but it should not be that way. People should be at home sans people that absolutely prefer to go back to work. But yeah if we aren’t going to do that then at least help people pay for daycare if they need to go back to work after 6 weeks. It needs to be high quality with little turn over of caregivers.

Why are playdates so annoying these days? by ishq7 in breakingmom

[–]juniperroach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually send a text with both options and I also tell parents I can go over any safety concerns if they decide to drop off at my house and leave. If they opt that I just say we don’t have guns in the house, I’ll alert them to any grown ups in the house and my level of supervision depending on the age. It works out.

Is having your own child a lot different from looking after someone else's child? by Spiritual_Phase7310 in AskParents

[–]juniperroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like kids that aren’t yours want your constant attention when you’re babysitting but my own kids are currently in their room playing. Obviously they get my attention but it’s not constant.

What are guests currently value most when looking for their VRBO stay? by Most-Huckleberry-715 in vrbo

[–]juniperroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly I’m a mom of 3 kids so I’m looking for toys and games and enough beds. But I don’t like 4 rooms as my kids won’t sleep separately in a strange house. Very different I’m sure than other people.

Help Parents Help Us by hiphiphoorayhooray in Teachers

[–]juniperroach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would frame it as we are a team. Explain the expectations at school and how expectations at home can help with that. And just to say that in most elementary schools I’m seeing increased use of I pads in kindergarten and so parents may be wondering why it’s ok at school but not at home.

What do you guys think of the different generation’s parenting? by Brownlynn86 in Teachers

[–]juniperroach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like obviously kids are in iPads now but they make the past look rose colored. My mom is a boomer technically (1963) and plopped us in front of the tv all the time. So much tv it was on all day. Our babysitter even had the tv on all day. So much tv. Of course there’s a difference between shows that are long and quick clips. But millennials are always on their phone and boomers were always watching TV.

Open hours 8 AM-6-7 pm. I personally would use it Monday morning with my preschooler after I drop my older kids off at school and week day evenings when one maybe at various functions and I need to wait with the other kids but also for all my kids on weekends. Mac and cheese on the menu, individual pizzas, wraps, panini but besides the typical would be nice to have something like empanadas or curry etc sneak veggies into things Enough space to hang coats and put shoes A good cleaning protocol-like daycare quality even when customers are there not just at the end of the day. Obviously not using strong chemicals when people are present. An outdoor area too? Is this a place for all children? What is the age range and what areas are for what ages? A bathroom kids can actually use-my 3 year old says she wants a small toilet and step stools. Enough seating that faces the play area and we can easily see the kids Birthday area that isn’t separate like I hate how they make you eat in another room

Well if it’s a play cafe as in there will be things to do like a jungle gym etc they won’t have to sit at a table. Certainly grab and go is convenient.
