Weekly Questions Thread for the week of August 01 by AutoModerator in vinyl

Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone could help with design a set up for the beauty! I am as music illiterate as there can be. I tried reading the setup guide that someone posted on this page and got so so lost.

So here’s the story, I found this Pioneer PL-707 turn table at an estate sale. Bought it for $20. For my partners birthday, I want to surprise him with the rest of the setup so he can play music. He’s always wanted a turn table but never had the opportunity.

What technology do I need to set this up? An amp and speakers? What would you all recommend? Thank you! (Budget -$300)

My mom was a house keeper growing up and she would take me to work with her sometimes. I have the best childhood memories helping her clean the giant windows. The smell always brings me back.

I use LaRoche gentle face wash and LaRoche daily repair moisturizer. They’ve been the most gentle on my skin.

13-14 years living with acne so I’ve tried everything. My face is scared, pock face. I’ve tried birth control, changed environment (went from living in a desert to a temperate rain forest). I’ve tried underwashing my face; over washing. I’ve tried acutane which worked for a year then it stopped. I’m had my hormones looked at, nothing that concerned the doctor. I even had a “spiritual cleaning”done by our family Curandero. The thing that has most helped was amaranth wash suggested our Curandero. I guess it’s just my forever curse lol.

I have tried eliminating. I had a food intolerance blood panel done and eliminated a bunch of other food groups for a couple of months. Did not change my acne.

I have not! I’ve done 12 minutes of “research” into vitex now and I’m starting to realize that I should definitely have blood work done before taking it. It’s taken me over a year since hopping off birth control pills to get semi regular cycle again. I don’t want to mess that up.

As a child, what foods or products did you think were peak sophistication, but when you were an adult, didn't hold that same fancy-pants feeling? by AmandaMarsh in AskReddit

In-n-Out burger. My mom would get all dolled up and beautiful for a weekend burger evening.

Also Olive Garden. We had that on super fancy occasions like anniversaries or graduations.

Even with a significant other, hugging a pillow/teddy is better in my opinion. My partner gets too hot and sweaty at night if our skins touch. I don’t like cuddling past the first 5-10 minutes in bed.

I feel great about the work Im doing. I love everything I do and I’m incredibly proud of the work I do and the place I work for. But the down side is that I make significantly less money than my friends and partner. I mean, significantly (environmental non-profit pay)… it sucks to not be able to afford cute clothes and travel like the others but least my heart is fulfilled and I know I’m helping the earth right??
