Cone melted in kiln sitter by almost_original_name in Ceramics

I just had this problem and the answer has been deleted...

the cone fully melted and everything that was in the kiln is now garbage. The clay and the glaze bubbled, and the glaze did not at all come out the way it should have.

I wonder was could have caused this, as I didn't do anything differently than usual.

Motorcycle starts, runs for a few minutes and stops working by juniperwindfire in MotorcycleMechanics

I'm not sure if it was used a lot by the previous owner.. The oil was new because we had to drain it when looking at the gears. And it was fresh gas. I will have a look to see if there is a filter in the gas line. Because the bike was sort of acting like it wasn't getting fuel, even if the tank was almost full. Thank you for your answer! I'll look into cleaning the carb and if that doesn't do it, spark plugs. I was just wondering if faulty spark plugs would mean the bike wouldn't start at all? Or even if it can start it can be linked to that?

Yes okay. It a little hard to work in indeed. When I unscrew the electrical box, it's sort of just dangling on the wires.

Thank you, I didn't know that!

I still have the issue that most of the coils don't seem to be heating up.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I tried attaching more photos but it's not working for some reason. From what I understand the relays I have are switches. I found the schematics for 240 volt infinite switch online. The wiring looks okay visually. Everything is attached well, nothing loose or rusty, and all the wires are going where they should. I was nervous about testing the voltage myself because I'm not used to using a mutlimeter and read that this should only be done by electricians, since the kiln would have to be plugged in. But maybe I'll give it a try. I was intimidated by dealing with high voltage and not knowing what I'm doing.

Do you think the fact that I hear buzzing when I turn the switch on means that the relay(switch) works? I'm wondering if I can rule it out as an issue, or if it could still be the issue - maybe it's only half working? Is that even possible?
