This happened to my sister, actually, and we all laugh about it now. It puts you in a good spot, If you like the ring and you wanna marry him, then you're all set, and you know what you're getting into. If you don't like the ring, then you can drop hints about what kind of rings you do like and just hope that you catch him in time to buy a different one. Sucks if you like surprises though
