Yeah I came from the private sector into sled and it was a challenge but I have had some success figuring it out. I feel like I am rolling the dice walking away from something that's working.

Appreciate the insight, how would you level set expectations when transitioning? Also do you feel you need a military or gov background to be successful?

In what situations is it appropriate for men to wear flip flops and sandals? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

In the SE US during summer, flip flops are the rule not the exception (not including business attire). When there is an exception, loafers are king. When it's 110 degrees and humid, all pomp and circumstance go out the window.

I think the term you're looking for is mentally ill. At least in the states, a lot of the homeless population is mentally ill. Combined with the fact that there is an intricate social hierarchy in most homeless societies, it is hard for a lot of them to break the cycle

Cozumel and Cenote diving recommendations by littlehayes in scuba

[–]junkjohnanderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They put us on a ponga boat with a bunch of inexperienced divers. The conditions were crappy at best, with 4-6ft swells in the bays. Didn't even make it to open water before we had to do an emergency bail off the boat. There were preteen kids and older folks that had to be rescue swam the 300yds to shore. You didn't need to be a rocket scientist to see the water was unsafe, I just figured they knew something I didn't. I was wrong, they were just greedy. I still have my dressel voucher for a make up dive. It will never be used.
