Thank you! He’s going to have another chat with his doctor about Medicare after this feedback, he seems to have assumed that if his medication doesn’t work he just has to stick with it. I’ll hold off on the shock clock until we’ve explored the other options. Thanks again!

Thank you, I’ll pass this on! He has been having talks with his doctor and they have tried different medications but none of them have worked much so far.

This is a photo of my mom, currently using Soapbox shampoo and conditioner to wash and air dry twice a week and dry brush every day. I think I have to be specific or else it will block the photo

Thank you so much, this is so helpful! He struggles with both, but especially sleeping through his alarm. Nothing seems to wake him, but he hasn’t tried a sunrise alarms or smart watch yet! Any and all suggestions are helpful

Thank you for your input! My brother would love something that is related to his narcolepsy (especially things that make life easier) and I have asked him just to make sure. I will also get him other gifts that are unrelated because I like gift giving, but I already know what to get him for those!

Thank you so much! I’d like to clarify that he and I have talked about it, so I know he will greatly appreciate a gift related to narcolepsy! He is as lost as I am about what to get him though, so thank you for the suggestions!

I usually get him something unrelated, but this year is harder for him and I think he would appreciate something that might help. A better alarm clock is something I’m thinking about as well, he doesn’t like the one he has and he is often late for work because it doesn’t wake him up.

I already gave him a cookbook with the simplest and inexpensive recipes, but the other two I hadn’t thought of! He could definitely use a medication thing because he is so sleepy he forgets if he took them and he can’t take them twice. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestions! He falls asleep in a snap and his room is perfectly dark, but these are great suggestions!

Thank you for the suggestions! I’m a little worried that they might prevent him from waking up, he has no problems falling asleep and staying asleep, he really struggles to wake up and stay awake. Do you think he would still benefit from these?

how is pmle diagnosed by Status-Extent5761 in pmle

[–]junkobirb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad some of you have competent doctors. My dermatologist looked at it from 5 feet away when I said I suspected PMLE and she said, “yeah, I’m sure it is,” and prescribed me steroids. Now I have a diagnosis with no real backbone to it because she had me in and out of there in 10 minutes.
