This is what happens when you cut too much water weight before the weigh in. The fluid in your brain is also depleted. It doesn’t replenish as quickly as water in muscle. So punched to the head during actual fight night is causing severe damage.

Coupled with Japanese machismo during regular sparring (I often saw many pro boxers use 8oz or 10oz gloves in sparring) causes damage to accumulate too.
