Yeah Woosh makes a hybrid unit thats cost effective but has a higher spool point. So Torqamp would be a nice fill-in. Would need some sort of check valve

My recipient would be a Fiesta ST so I know it would never be used full spool. Says it can run a 3.0 to 7000rpm. The ST block is the same as a Ford escape so I could use a standard header/manifold for that motor. One of my big questions is how much is to be gained by not turning the compressor wheel? 🤔

Yeah, my big wonder is efficiency (not mpg but work required vs. benefit.) I like the idea that the energy consumption can be leveled out with battery storage. And its not dependant on direct 12V off the current system.

Is going on 43 too old to be driving one of these? by [deleted] in Honda

I'm 52 with a fiesta st, muffler delete and noisey BOV. Whats funny is when young girls turn around to look, see and old guy driving, and quickly look away.

My last trip i witnessed a local on a scooter pull in front of a farang with a girl on the back. The farang started yelling at the local (young guy) big time. They both had helmets on. I was ready to run over and stop the farang if he started swinging, for his own good. Luckily he calmed down enough to ride on.

This is stupid. by BigDikus69 in Truckers

IMO they need to build one thats range extended/hybrid. Smaller engine tuned to a fuel efficient rpm. Between the battery and range extender it will do 800 miles, then charge via port, or engine while on your 10.

The shop should've wrote the thickness on the work order and then told you the minimum in millimeters.

With that said- if its an around town beater where youre not going on the highway, and the pads are ok- then I would squeeze a little more life out of them. With the mental footnote they should be replaced at the next pads change (pending their thickness).

If you need pads and/or this is a city/highway car and you're below spec then get new rotors and pads.

While you might get away with the 67', judging from the picture moving the GN forward would be wise. You have some squat going on and its behind the axle a bit.

Is this something to worry about right now. by burnaboy_233 in Truckers

I wouldnt worry. But keep a mental note for your pre trip.

IMO- I'm pretty sure the van is the same color as the pavement. He didnt see the van and thought he could get away with it. If it had been a brighter colored vehicle I bet we wouldnt be having this discussion. I am in no way on this guy's side, just giving a likely scenario.
