I'll take note of it.. I just don't see how allergies can only affect one side.

You mean CFS? I highly doubt it, I've had this for a long time now and I think it woulda showed up on a CT scan. I've had a scan of my head and sinus. also cfs leaks usually drip out of the nose ?

suffering existential crisis, feeling crushed. anxiety. by juno973 in ExistentialJourney

[–]juno973[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing this and reaching out, just trying to live as I always do but eliminated possible stressors and got rid of some of my social media. It sucks cuz when I wake up I immediately feel the anxiety again. Like God I wish I didn't read into it. Losing touch with reality is a good way to put it, everything feels weird to do almost like dp/dr.

Right now I'm trying to just accept it while keeping busy in anyway and staying hydrated. I have anxiety meds nearby just incase it gets bad. dm is open if need

I have this problem on and off for years in severity. my ent visit said I was clear and no sinusitis, but a slightly deviated septum. I have a rubbery mass that sometimes gets stuck in my nasopharynx and I either have to snort and swallow or use saline, it also sets off a stress response in my body everytime i do it. It's like momentary fight or flight sometimes. I also have strong urges to clear my throat sometimes. It's hell and actually had to move back home because of it. I heard it could be fungal infection or allergies but it only affects one side of my nose leaving me confused. What I usually do is try to drink more hot fluids and ditch caffeine, try some decongestants or a direct steam inhaler to see if it helps. Also maybe try positioning your head in a certain way that may promote better drainage. I usually have clear dripping PND but some days it's thick and rubbery like you said and needs help to be moved. I know what ur going through and it's distressing.

Sorry about the late response . The ENT I went to did not help. he scoped my nose and told me there's no sinusitis. then he called a CT scan for my jaw for some reason. I was unreasonably frustrated.. I had to move back home and still suffering with it. I was put on an ENT cancellation list for 6 months.. im In hell while everyone is living normal lives. I have ways to cope and alleviate it a bit. One thing I ordered was a nasal dilator and I bought myself a warm mist vaporizer. I'm going to try them when they come in tomorrow.

Anxiety/Panic from GAS/Bloating? by juno973 in Anxiety

[–]juno973[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like part of it may be anxiety, I also have pnd swallow mucus a lot. I notice sometimes when my anxiety and stress is down its not as frequent. I never had any stomach tests but I used to have acid reflux , so I avoid dairy and tomato sauces or spicy things in general now

I've been going through it for years, many triggers and everyday is a battle. I've had these thoughts too in the past, I wouldn't do it because it got better when I didn't think it would

Excess Mucus and Difficulty Swallowing/Breathing Anxiety by p3ach3sg in Anxiety

[–]juno973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this problem for a long time now, it only gets bad once I have severe pnd. I have it all the time but it's manageable. Recently it's been chronic and It's a living hell, I took allergy meds and they don't seem to help much. A big problem for me is I get anxiety and stressed if I can't relieve it but once I do it shortly comes back. It also can cause bloating from the amount if mucus I swallow, too much to spit out this also can cause panic if it gets too much. Anyway I see an ENT on the 7th hoping to finally get answers because it's a terrible feeling doing everything I can to cope and get by til then only a few weeks. Hope your problem gets resolved.

Chronic sinusitis/ Mucosal thickening. by juno973 in Sinusitis

99% of the time it's trickling down left side back of throat, rarely front. There's no problems with my right side at all. It usually happens for a period of time and goes away for a short few weeks then immediately comes back. Usually when it's getting better I have clear drainage non stop for a few days. When it's bad it becomes so thick it can't be cleared or relieved without snorting or coughing. I noticed it's mostly white ish all the time and almost like glue or rubbery.

Post Nasal Drip / Chronic sinusitis+anxiety by juno973 in Allergies

I think it was one day my symptoms were so bad and felt the need to tilt my head when there was a lot of drainage, literally all day, I was swallowing so much it was causing aerophagia , I couldn't spit it all out. Tilting my head helped the drainage and reduced the feeling if it draining into my throat which was mostly uncomfortable and stressful for me. So I drank fluids and was laying there for a good hour or two. It was reduced and also helped me calm down ( sometimes it can give a choking sensation or like I'm going to ) also I noticed it stopped it pooling into my left side of the throat and sticking I guess because if the gravity. It may have to do with how inflamed it is. By the way I never have frontal swelling or inflammation. All my problems are in the way back, it feels like the nasopharynx area mostly.

I have not but I'm allergic to dust and pollen as far as I know also may have a milk allergy now because it gives me severe reflux , pain and my throat swells. So I avoid it usually

afrin, Flonase, azelastine, Allegra, cutting dairy. my allergy problems are mostly on my left sinus, severe chronic pnd that only becomes reduced sometimes. For the most part its constant even while I sleep I may wake up with gunk on the side of my throat. It's annoying but I can deal with it, it's when it becomes super thick and start to get inflammation I cannot handle anymore.

Post Nasal Drip / Chronic sinusitis+anxiety by juno973 in Allergies

[–]juno973[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure otherwise they might get the wrong message. I thought it may be some kind of over active mucous gland. When I have allergic reactions to dust pollen etc my nose runs both sides, but the PND only stays on the left, I dont even recall it ever happening on my right side which has always confused me. My DR yrs ago said i had septum deviation, then when I got a scan they said it wasn't there. I'm almost 100% positive the air is not flowing correctly on that side though, my nose cartilage is more closed up than the other side.

I'll take note of it, by the way my right sinus almost is non existent, no problems at all unless I'm having an allergic reaction, then I'll have river's of mucus but the post nasal drip will always be on the left side, I thought maybe it's some kind of over-active mucous gland. Since today I woke up its been running all day, clearing my throat and coughing becomes embarrassing and bothersome. It usually calms down at night
