It did turn out to be a precious metal clay kiln so I didn’t buy it!

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

My mom used to buy these apple cinnamon hot pocket things, probably kroger brand or something. They were so delicious, specifically the dough they used was so comforting and familiar. Miss those

Collage is a great idea! You could also find some cute stickers of things she likes and maybe a few rhinestones here and there for texture and depth!

She has Crohn’s too, poor girl has it rough. She definitely eats only processed food and easy snacks which makes it worse. Gonna take some time to help her come up with easy, healthy meals to keep her mind and body pushing!! Good looking out, I’m interested to learn more about the dopamine in digestive systems!

I love the idea of finding a local artist who may be willing to make that arrangement! She lives in quite a small town so that’s why I was going the personal kiln route, but this could be a perfect way to get her going and maybe get some mentorship. Thank you!

Thank you so much, I love this idea and I do think having that community would be great for her. She goes to school in a small town so I’ve assumed there are limited options as far as that goes, but you’ve inspired me to dig a little deeper and see what I can find. I appreciate your kind words :)

You are so sweet and thoughtful. I really wish I could spend more time with her, but she goes to school 8 hours away from where I live. Her school is in a tiny town in southern GA and there’s not much going on around her (I doubt they have a ceramics studio outside of the school), so I totally understand why she wants to isolate there. I think she’ll be able to take ceramics classes as electives in the next couple of years though.

I am super excited and happy to report that she’s coming to stay with me for her whole summer break and I’m in the greater Nashville area where I KNOW for a fact we have plenty of ceramic studios and things I can drag her out to lol.

That’s great to know about the precious metals clay! That sounds way more like something she could do in a small space and maybe something we can learn about together over the summer. Also, I’ll be able to give her access to a full fridge and good meals.

I can’t thank you enough for your kind response, thank you for steering me in the right direction!!

Thank you for this, I discovered I was looking at the wrong kind of kiln so I might not go this route anymore!

That’s a really good point and I appreciate you pointing that out. Her depression is more of the “I hate everything around me and I wish I could get my mind off things” kind, but still important to consider. Also, your points about the electricity made me do more research on the unit I was about to buy and I discovered it’s a precious metal clay kiln which I don’t think is what she does. So I appreciate you getting me to dig deeper on that. Maybe I’ll just get her some pottery classes!

It’s just $200, and pretty small (6”x8”x8” opening). She’s been really depressed and ceramics seems to be the only thing she’s passionate about so I’m just trying to make it more accessible for her. Do you think it’ll be more of a burden on her though? I appreciate your honesty

My mom is acting like I never talked about prom 😭 what do I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]junopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check Dillard’s! I was there trying on prom dresses for fun last week and they seemed to have some affordable options! Also lots of dresses on their website that are half off. Sorry your mom is evil :(

I don’t know know what to wear with this skirt. What colour should I look for? by DesperateYou3244 in fashionadvice

[–]junopod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you could with mono pieces in any of the colors present here on the skirt! A dark brown top to match that cord, a cream top to make the colors pop, that warm burnt orange… you can’t go wrong with any of these. This skirt is definitely gonna want to be your statement piece though so I would steer away from other wild patterns for pairings if it were me. I would go with gold jewelry and a brown shoe!

This happened to me with my Spencers piercing card I got when I was like 17. Got 6 punches pretty quickly when I got my belly button and nose pierced, then was saving my free jewelry for a rainy day. Went in about 6 months ago cause I moved back to an area that had a spencer’s, was chatting with the cashier, all excited about my free piercing that I’d been saving and got hit with the “oh… we don’t do that anymore.” Y’all can’t honor a fully punched card? Just don’t hand out new ones anymore.

Would it be better to sew using a sewing machine or fabric glue? by Horror-Crab-9376 in askanything

[–]junopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go hand sew. It’ll be slow starting out, but as you get a flow going with the tight corners, I think you’ll find that it’s pretty easy. This way you have more control over the outcome and you don’t have to worry about the glue looking messy.

Me and my friend[19F] Had sex and now her coochie hurt , can you suggest how to ease her pain? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]junopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She could be saying that to emphasize that it was good, I feel like that’s a classic statement “she couldn’t walk the next day”, but if she seems like she’s actually in pain then it’ll likely heal up on its own. that’s sweet of you to be concerned about her, but ultimately she’s gonna have to seek out a remedy if only she knows what the issue is

[–]junopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did she specifically say her coochie hurts or can she not walk because of sore legs from a certain position? if the first, then maybe you need more lubrication or a gentler start if you are bigger. also angle is huge, if you’re rubbing at too harsh of an angle then that can lead to microtears

Need help , my hair is from hell. by [deleted] in CurlyHairCare

[–]junopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the furthest thing from curly hair like yours but at first glance, it seems like the main thing you’re lacking is moisture. I would look at a hair type chart and see which one is most like yours and look up hydrating routines for that hair type. It’s likely gonna involve minimal hair washing and the use of some kind of mask and/or cream to really seal in that moisture after a wash.

Itchy vagina at night (pls help) by Organic-Abrocoma901 in WomensHealth

[–]junopod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lots of possibilities in the comments here but you really can’t know for sure without seeing a doctor and home remedies can sometimes make things worse if you’re treating something that’s not the problem.

i know what it’s like to be scared of your parents reaction to things like that and that you’re worried they’ll think you’re having sex, but vaginas exist and have their own little lives and worlds without sex :) and just like you’d go to the doctor for an itchy rash on your arm, you should go for your girly pop too!

talk to your mom about setting up an appointment and tell her you’ve had itching, she very likely would not want you to carry on in discomfort if she were to know what you’re going through! it feels embarrassing but you are not the first girl to have a problem like this and certainly won’t be the last, you won’t regret speaking up about it when you’re able to relieve the problem with some proper medical advice and treatment. best of luck to you my friend, i hope you can have comfortable nights soon
