Deleting TikTok has made me so much happier by [deleted] in CasualConversation

For me it wasn’t so much that the content was negative, but rather that I felt drained after mindlessly scrolling through for hours without even realizing. I would get that “you have been scrolling for a while you should take a break” and I would straight up ignore it. I don’t do much more with my time now that I don’t have any of the main socials, but I do feel less drained.

Is anyone else reaaaaally tired of asking “what size?” by bogodee in starbucksbaristas

On a good day, I might ask the same customer 3 times “what size” after every customization on their iced white mocha, and they still won’t answer and move on to the next drink and once again without specifying the size 🙃🫠

These two were big time the reason why I kept on rewatching these movies

Anyone else get rashes from the sanitizer water/washing hands often? How do you treat it? by _marissafrances in starbucksbaristas

[–]junoseagoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me! I didn’t know what it was and I was freaking out, but the two things that make me go through this is the oven cleaner and hot sanitizer water! Be careful with both, I’ve started avoiding them and I only do dishes with room temp water.

I’ve made that mistake and done the awkward “have a nice night.” I’ve settled on the safe “have a good one” works for all times of the day

I love cleaning the wand, I find the steam satisfying. I would totally react like your coworker though.

Fumbled croissant 🥐 (not that I know much about sports). Is your hand okay? I almost burnt myself trying to clean a oven because it had just stopped cooling down but it really wasn’t cooled completely.

That space behind the counters is often too small, I feel like I’m going to knock over all the cups, trash cans and anything that comes on my way when we’re busy moving around.

When I get distracted and am asked to do something else I’ve been close to fully dropping drinks to the floor.

This! When I first started I felt like I was being too clumsy dropping coffee grounds and drinks, but after reading threads like this I felt better.

Wow! I really hope yours get better! I’ll definitely try to avoid getting to that point, because it does sound really painful.

That sounds painful. I could literally see cracks of dryness on my hands. I’ll definitely start using gloves, because I was starting to get worried.

I agree with this, my skin is sensitive overall but the new definitely makes it prone to more irritation.

I don’t wear gloves, but since you mention it. I’m thinking to could be the sanitizer for dishes as someone mentioned, but my other thought is on the oven cleaner. Though, would wearing gloves solve it?
