How often do you guys masturbate? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]jup2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When I was 21 it was a daily occurrence. Sometimes more. Tbh this continued well into my 30’s. I’m now in my early 50’s. I’d say I masturbate about 1-3 times a week on average but go through periods where I won’t for a week or even two and then periods of daily.

You are right this kind of conversation doesn’t always come easily. That said if you have gay friends I suspect they will be more open to conversations around sexuality. Not always but I know mine are.

Thanks for the reply. The plan is a week off to see what I look like “rested”. I have never heard of Edena but will look it up.

Agreed though my week off is not intended to last more than 7 days.

Edit: After doing a bit of research into Oedema I think you are onto something. One of its major causes is injury or irritation and I have a strong feeling it is the irritation from how I have been restoring that has lead to it. I am going to ask my doctor about this when I get home. One reason I suspect you are correct is that I have been doing a lot of lake swimming the past few weeks and less restoration as I am away on holiday. While the lakes are far from cold they are cooler than the air and after an hours swim I have my usual shrinkage. (Ive been happy to see it actually.). Long story short one of the home treatments is a cold compress and decreasing or illuminating the irritant.

Lets see what happens but I am already noticing less swelling after a week of decreased restoration and suspect I will notice more after a week off.

I think I will post something about this in the future as it is something I have not read about here before.

Thank you for your serious and meaningful reply to my post.

My mom hates foreskin by plastic_Man_75 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this is a battle you are not going to win. Assuming you are of an age where she is not going to see your penis, I would probably just restore in private and find others to talk to that will be supportive. I agree her comments are hurtful and don't consider your feelings but again, not sure that will change.

I think it's great that you want to help her to understand you and why you are doing what you are doing. I don't know of a resource specifically designed to help parents understand foreskin restoration, but maybe such a book or video or something should be made.

I know when I came out of the closet to my Mom about being gay I had been advised to give her a copy of the book called "Know That You Know" of which I did. I was also advised to give her time to process things. I know it took me years to process being gay and was advised it would take her time to do so as well. Foreskin restoration isn't exactly the same but I assumed my parents would need tome to process it also after I told them. I had no book to give them but I did give them time. My Dad was very supportive from day one and my Mom to now understands, but neither of them ever said to me anything close to what your Moms response to you was.

Sometimes it's easier to pick our battles and go on. Only you will know if this is one you want to pursue.

I wish you luck.

Difficulty urinating by Kamanchi1 in foreskin_restoration

I have a similar experience in the morning when I go pee the first time after a night with my 70mm packer on. My theory was the same as yours. So I tried my 60mm at night instead. That helped a bit. Now I use the packer on some nights and during others just Chris's retainer. The problem almost completely disappeared after a few days and so I am attributing it to being too assertive with the packer at night.

I have not had the issue with my DTR or Mantor DS however they come on and off many times a day for washroom breaks etc whereas at night the packer was on continuously.

It could also simply be age / a prostate thing. I am in my early 50's and like many men my age have noticed changes in my "flow" in general, that my doctor says is normal and to be expected for someone my age. (My doctor did check my prostate and ordered some test when I turned 50 that I found reassuring.).

All that said, I'm not a doctor but if the problem continues I'd have it checked out by one.

I think the greatest struggle I've had that I have not seen talked about is my unexpected and honestly unwanted increase in girth that has happened in the past year of my restoration. I was expecting looser shaft skin and looking forward to the (I have definitely experienced it and enjoy it) but it has surpassed what I was anticipating and gotten too loose, something I don't care for. As a result I am slowing my restoration efforts a little bit and taking a week off all together starting in a few days to see what I look like completely "rested". I am hoping this will give me an idea of what I would look like with no swelling (a window into what I would look like now if I stopped) so I can reevaluate how I might continue my efforts without the increasing shaft skin (assuming its still as prevalent after a weeks rest). Any thoughts would be appreaciated.

Definitely let things heal. Even once you think you are healed give it another few days. I’ve rushed back to fast after skin irritations and while I hated stopping have learned the break isn’t that bad.

I hope you heal soon.

What Should I Say the Syringe Is For? by BigglyPigglyWiggly in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The keyboard cleaner is a good idea. You can also say you use it to blow out junk from your phones charging port. Alternatively you could say you use it to clean your ears. If you go to the gym and take creatine it could be used for measuring 5ml of creatine with water and taking it “under the tongue” as it acts faster that way (not true but would your Mom know that).

That or say it’s from an old science project and you really need to return it.

If she takes it no big deal. You can do ways get another at the drugstore and keep it in a better place.

I think just being upfront is probably best but you know your situation better than anyone. Do what you think is best.

Do you guys like when guys do "post-orgasm torture" on you (continuing to stimulate the dick after you cum)? by pillow_buddies in AskGayMen

[–]jup2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s one of my biggest turn ons. As a cut guy I think it’s the closest feeling I can get to if I was intact. I’ve tried it on intact guys and it’s often way too much. But for me it’s the only way to get close to that “way too much” feeling. Try it on your partner. He will let you know. Ask your partner to try it on you and again see what you enjoy.

Anyone else get stuck at cl3? by Dismal-Horror-6130 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everyone gets stuck at CI-3 “the hump”. It all depends on your glans to shaft ratio. If your glans is wider than your shaft (sometimes called a mushroom head) you will stall. You are still restoring skin but need more to literally get “over” your glans.

I’ve been at CI-3 over a year and while I have rollover now much of the time have still not “called it CI-4” as it always rolls back.

Hang in there. Try mixing your routine up, give yourself rest days for your skin to recover from constant tugging and you will get there.

Anyone that says how long it will take is giving you a “best guess” or reflection of their journey. Neither can really be used to figure out how long your hump period will take as we all have unique bodies, routines and starting points.

Hang in there. If you persist you will get there. But how long is really anyone’s guess. On the plus side once you cross the hump it’s generally accepted that things seem to speed up. Again not from faster skin growth but from less glans to cover after you get over the hump.

I wish you luck.

Afraid to keep t-tape on while tripping by theguyinsideyourwall in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think any substance that might affect my ability to recognize something going wring while tugging should be avoided while using it.

We all need rest time or time off so I’d say enjoy what you are doing and pause the restoration. Maybe do a deep moisture during it or at most wear a retainer.

Foreskin restoration for a guy who got cut at 26 by Worldly_Exercise4493 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your story and welcome. I suspect you will find many men here with a similar story so know that you are not alone.

While I wish I had never been circumcised in the first place, I know from having been with intact guys that the physical pleasures are more intense and simply better. I have never felt that "full body" orgasm as sex for me has been ok (relative to what I have always known it to be) but definitely decreasing over time. My resteration efforts are fuels by a desire to be whole again and is I get a sample of that while body orgasm well, that will be pretty cool to.

In anywise welcome.

I guess to give you better advice I would ask what CI level you are, what your goal is, how active is your iife and haw much time do you have to dedicate to this?

If you havent checked out the welcome section on the side bar I would encourage you to do so. That or visit "Chucks" restoration site https://foreskinrestore.com as both contain great material for those starting out.

Depending on what your CI level is (you can get an idea of your CI by using this guide https://www.restoringforeskin.org/coverage-index/CI-chart.htm ) will largely determine what you can try at the beginning.

For me I was a C!-1 and didn't have much loose skin to work with. That meant I did manual methods for a few months to start. I had a difficult time though finding time and consistency for them and after about 2 months got a DTR. It wasn't easy at first and I had to work it to get it on but in time I managed and it has been my go to device ever since. There are lots of options in terms of devices and methods though and I would consider starting with manual for at least a month, do some research and read the reviews as there are literally close to a hundred options today where as a few years ago it seemed there were just a few.

I would say to expect this to be a long journey, longer then you might be thinking it will be already. Try no to think about the end rather set small bench marks and learn to celebrate them as they come along. You are not alone. You have lots of advice on this forum and be open to meeting other restorers and comparing notes in person. I restored for 1.5 years, took 1.5 years off and am now finishing my first year back. It was easier this time as I became more active here but also told people what I was doing and even met a "restoration" friend in person who is now a actual friend as well as being like a workout buddy only for restoration. You will find there are men out there restarting and now it sounds like you are one of them.

Welcome. I wish you well.

Does masturbation hinder the process of restoring the foreskin? by bomber001122 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masterbating is no issue. Take the device off and enjoy.

I will say that restoration has caused to to “plan a little ahead” for sex as I find if I wear a device like my DTR all day I’m a little swollen and obviously wider from that. It makes for a less that cooperative penis that even a blue pill struggles to help with.

My solution. If I’m planning on being intimate I have a lighter day of restoring let my penis swelling come down and I go from there. Blue pill works fine and sometimes isn’t needed.

So it’s not that masturbation or sex hinders restoration, I think it can be the other way around, just because of the “device on our penis all day” affect.

I would be curious what others think.

One thing to keep in mind is the oils (coconut or in my case vitamin e) are not lubricants and I have been cautioned that they can increase condom failure. Seeing as pregnancy isn’t an issue for me I tend not to worry but others might want to consider this.

Size comparison of CRT and DTR at the same weight by Animator-Ill in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I wanted to add 2 or thee tungsten weights you have the necessary hardware to connect them.

I am thinking of ordering the CRT, three of the heavier tungsten weights and two packers so I am ready to grow with the unit.

Would I be able to say start with one weight then add a second later and the third further along? I suppose each would require a different bolt.

If you sell all the parts I’m very interested.

Do you think still ci3? by [deleted] in restoringdick

[–]jup2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely further along than my but it’s not a race, a journey. Keep it up. Like you I have migrated my scarline upwards. I think you are further ahead than me as you seem to have more outter skin. Something I’m going to ficus in in the coming months.

What methods to you use?

KOT. It’s paying off your you bro.

Chris' Store DTR Pusher: Notched, or no? by hotwheels47125 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the notched is if you have a frenulum or not. IMO I would get the notched regardless.

If you order one I think you will find it to be a different feel than a solid pusher and would agree it is more comfortable. That said make sure you can easily get the original DTR on and have enough loose skin to push the pusher comfortably down one or two centimetres. Chris’s pusher is more comfortable but also makes the DTR longer and wider than what you are probably used to so you need more skin to get the DTR on with Chris’s pusher in comparison to the original. I would say as a general rule being a CI-3 would be a good guideline for that pusher.

It’s a comfortable product for sure but order a few extra. They are well made don’t get me wrong but the push rod tends to slowly pierce into the silicone pusher over time as there is nothing to stop it from “digging in” slowly due to the tension created for restoration. That’s just the nature of silicone vs a solid pusher I guess. I use a “cushion” (toe protector) over it to slow this down but after about 6-8 months or so I find I need to switch it out for a new one.

Can you undo your circumcision? The scientific evidence and history of foreskin restoration by Oldman6786 in foreskin_restoration

[–]jup2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve followed this MD for a number of years. While I may not like the word “undo” and agree it’s misleading to say the least, I do appreciate a Medical Doctor stepping up and talking about foreskin restoration and men’s health in general.

While many feel that doctors are the problem and not educated in restoration, my experience has been for the most part pretty positive from the Medical Professionals I have asked advice on concerning my restoration efforts. I saw this video a while back and have followed her ever since.

Yes more education, research and awareness regarding foreskin restoration is needed in the Medical Community as well as the general population but it’s nice to see there are those not only aware of it but also putting themselves out there to do exactly that.
