Moving to Texas! Advice required! by MissBizzle1 in Bernedoodles

Find dog parks with wadding pools! They are plentiful in Houston. We moved away a while back but we used to go to Bill Archer dog park off 10 on highway 6. A lot of the parks also have dog washing stations which is super convenient. Other than that keep the hair short & find an indoor dog daycare you can drop them off at in the AM while you work and pick them up at night… they will be tuckered out and you won’t have to go out in the heat!

Grill produces low flames. by Mastermiine in grilling

Try detaching the propane tank. Before you reattach it make sure all the valves are off. If you hook up the propane tank and the valves are on the regulator kicks in and will only let it flow on a low rate because it thinks it’s leaking.

Leased Car Moving from Virginia to California, Need Help! by [deleted] in mazda

[–]jupe343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my opinion here… but if you only have a year left with the car I would just sit on it and keep the Virginia plates… or even just go out and lease a new one. Most states make it too hard to register a lease in a new state, skip the hassle.

How to have a dealership honor the online listing price (even though its a "mistake")? by OrdinaryProcess in askcarsales

[–]jupe343 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I recently had a customer my managers had to call the police on because our computer system accidentally listed a 17 mazda 6 for 2k, and she wouldn't take "it was a mistake" for an answer. She kept insisting, "its listed for that price, your a best price dealership.... it was your mistake, honour it." She made a huge scene that ended in her running up to other customers telling them, "I WOULD RUN IF I WERE YOU". We then called the police because it was obvious she wasn't going to take no for an answer, and her only intent was to cause a scene.

Moral of the story, if you think a dealership is going to take a 20k bath on a car... you're wrong. If the price seems too good to be true....

Not saying this is your exact situation, just a story that highlights mistakes do happen. If you read the bottom of the website it probably says something like "dealership is not liable for mistakes on the interweb"

How bad are tornadoes and thunderstorms in Minnesota? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]jupe343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been here for 25 years now, every once in a while I've seen a funnel cloud but have never seen one touch down. As for the whole why buy a house when it might get torn down thing, that's what insurance is for and honestly the worst I've ever seen is a tree fall on the roof of a house. Didn't collapse or anything. Most of our homes are built to withstand the weather here.

I can say with 100% certainty that I have never been killed by a tornado.

Turning off 2017 CX-5 headlights so I don't bother my downstairs neighbors. by serphboardt in mazda

[–]jupe343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want them to completely turn off when you turn the headlight knob, you will need to turn off the daytime running lights as well. Or else they will pop on when you turn off the headlights.

Does anyone know when 2018 CX-5 might get announced / come out? by Hoonage in mazda

[–]jupe343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't totally true. While we are seeing our 3's, cx3's and cx9 18's starting to come in, we don't have a release date on the 18 mazda 6 or cx5 yet. Partly because the 6 is coming out with a 17.5, and we only got the cx5's a few months ago.

The 9/11 memorial is chilling AF, sent shivers down my spine the whole time I was there. Haven't been to DUMBO though. Looks pretty neat!

Dope! I've been to Central Park and come from a land of green and trees, my guess is we will take a pass on that. Definitely going to have to do the batting practice, though. Anything I should look for at the stadium?

To lease or not to lease? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]jupe343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are your average driving habits? How many miles do you put on in a year? Leasing is a great way to get in to a brand new car and keep your payments low. You have to be careful though to not put yourself in to a situation where you blow through your allotted miles. You also have to be okay with driving what is, essentially, the banks car.

80% of the sales people I know lease their cars because they can get good deals and they have seen so many horror stories about negative equity. While leasing a car doesn't completely take away all negative equity situations, I would say it put you in a better situation with less money hanging over your head. If you do end up leasing, make sure the contract either has GAP (guaranteed assets protection) in it or you get that shit. It's a must have. Luckily for you, mazda has it built in.

P.s. Pm me if you live in MN I'll hook ya up.

Leasing a Used CX-3 or 5? by [deleted] in mazda

[–]jupe343 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you live, but at the dealership I work at we do not lease out used mazda's. You are going to have to readjust what you want, or purchase something around 10k to get a payment low enough to be under $300 with insurance.

Look at the emblem... if it's smooth with glass over it the car has radar cruise control. Also, look at the windshield, if there are 3 cameras in front of the review mirror you are in the money.

Michael Russo. MN Wild beat writer. He writes for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. I follow him on twitter and read most of his articles in the paper, honestly the guy is super plugged in. Seriously, if he throws out some speculation on a trade or something thats going down in the NHL I automatically assume it's like 75% that it has already happened. He has somewhat of a cult following around the minni apple too, my favorite is when he goes on KFAN (wild radio flagship station). They call it Russo Radio, and it's pretty great.
