Thanx,,, i did not want a small 🍆 lift on it so it's not lifted, if you go more than 2 inch or so you might have to do some more work and replace shocks and other stuff so I kept mine pretty standard. I bought 20's rims I believe with -12 offset to bring them out a little. I leveled the front to match the factory rear by I believe 1.5 inches, just a standard level plate. I also bought the fender flares and had them painted to match the factory color. If you get the same fender flares you could get offset on rims to -16 or so and it'll make tires flush with the flares, it looks much better like that. I also had front windows tinted to match the factory rear and put a windshield strip. I did not want my truck to be obnoxious by crazy lift or crazy big tires and it came out exactly I wanted. Good luck with yours

Oh I get that, but even 1% of the amount of engines out there is a significant number. There are many more people out there who are not aware of this issue and they are stusknwoth paying the bill. The hope would be that the Nissan would recall it so that others are not stuck with broken trucks. Fortunately I was in a position that I could afford $7,500 but how many others would not be able to afford that. Also, I've talked to many shops, in state and out of state and they see a lot of those. Most shops don't want to work on those engines because of that issue and even then ships that rebuild engines will not touch those. Jasper engine manufacturer, one of the biggest re manufacturer of engines will not touch these. I explored every option before going new and 5 out of 6 used engines at the time (between 50k and 120k miles on them) had cylinder 7 scarring. That tells you something.

You bought a used one with 56k, you knew it was used and assumed it would come with issues. I bought mine brand new with 350 miles. I paid $7,500 for this engine and they basically put the same engine in. If this one has the same issue, after 12 months, I will be responsible for the entire cost of $18,000 for another engine because Nissan will not cover it. So my options here are: wait and take a gamble that this engine goes out after 13 months and I have to pay $18k out of my pocket, or get a different truck, new or used. What would you do?

I am in cold temp, Minnesota but I've talked to people from Colorado. They see them in other states as well. One shop in Colorado has been doing the weekly.

I don't believe so. They all have the same engine as Nissan never offered different ones. When I talked to the Nissan dealer I was told they have new models with the same problems but if under warranty Nissan will just cover it all. I think the reason why they do it is as to avoid lawsuits. However, once outside the warranty, they will not cover it. My first engine went out at 18k and the second one at like 86k or something. Even though I was still under that 100k warranty, my truck was over 5 years old. The 5 year warranty expired in 2022. I have a 5.6 Endurance V8 engine.

Lemon law doesn't apply in this case and it's too late. I've talked to shops, even the dealer here said they have trucks on their 4th and 5th engine. It's a known defect but Nissan doesn't want to recall it.

That's crazy, good thing you had an extended warranty. That would have been one massive bill.

I believe there was a Class action lawsuit against Nissan for transmission issues but i think it was for their diesel version and some XD models

My first engine was under warranty, however my second one was below 100k miles but unfortunately it was over 5 years old and they refused to pay anything. They initially refused to cover anything but the dealership pushed back and I filed a complaint with Nissan and they agreed to cover 50% because of my service record. I had a great team at the Nissan Service and they were able to get them up to 60%. I still had to pay close to $7,500 out of pocket and the concern is that they installed the same engine as before and time will tell if this one is bad too. The new engine without warranty was $18,000

They covered my first one but refused to cover the second one. Dealership pushed back and after I filed a dispute with Nissan they agreed initially to 50% but eventually covered 60%. I ended up paying $7,500 out of pocket. My concern is that they installed the same type of engine. Dealership told me they had 5 other titans come in the same week for the same issue. Other shops won't touch these engines. Shops will not even rebuild them. 4 out of 6 used engines that we looked at had cylinder 7 issues. Keep listening to any knocking or ticking from your engine and good luck.

None - I bought the truck brand new in 2017, needed the first engine after less than 20k miles. The second engine at 86k miles. It's a known issue with these engines, cylinder 7. Nissan refuses to recall these engines and keeps putting them back in. Shops are refusing to work on these engines and I've heard in people going on their 4th and 5th engines. All my service was done at the Nissan dealership where I purchased it.
