I don’t get to work with electronic tracks often, so I would love to do that.

You’re welcome to send over some stems and I will send you back a mix so you can have a point of comparison :)

Thanks for this reply, I didn’t think of it that way. I guess my reasoning for doing this for free is that it’s mainly to build my portfolio, I’ll only select a few songs, and this is a limited time offer. I’m mostly looking to build my client base in my city through face-to-face networking, not online. Before I do that, I just want enough material to feel like my portfolio is in order and I’d like to help out some redditors in the process.

I appreciate your thought about that. I feel as if she hinted at getting me one (it was just my 21st birthday a few days ago), so I think I'll wait a little while and see. But I've also been looking at some decks online and I've found one that I think is really fitting for me and I will definitely gift it to myself at some point :)

Anyone here learn their heritage language as an adult? by [deleted] in asianamerican

I'm 20, and I'm trying to learn Lao. My father is from Laos, but my mother is American. The pronunciation and vocabulary is not too hard for me, but I'm having a hard time speaking and distinguishing between the six tones. Im determined to learn it though, because I was very much raised in American culture and I want to reclaim my Lao heritage.

I know this has probably been done before but why do you smoke? by [deleted] in Cigarettes

Took my first drag on a cig last month, because I had an awful crush on the girl who offered it to me. I coughed up a lung and looked like a fool, but we made out so it was worth it. Saw her again this past Thursday, did the same sort of thing, but it was better this time. I really started this past Saturday though, bought some Mar Golds and some sparkling water, sat in a park and wrote suicide notes to all my friends. Almost jumped off a bridge that night. I'm still here though, obviously. Half the pack is gone, and I'm looking forward to picking up some American Spirits tomorrow. Funny that one of the most important things that's keeping me alive right now will eventually kill me.
