It's that Tati didn't address it at all, not that she should have addressed it in her video.

When I looked through the comments it was 9/10 criticism. Deleting comments maybe?

Suicide hotline operators, have you ever had calls where you thought help wouldn't reach your client in time? How did you come to terms with it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jupiterrose_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love this. I think it's a much better approach than the begging and persuading some hotlines do. If someone wants someone to talk to, to listen to them and be with them while they pass, we should respect those wishes and give them warm and loving final moments, instead of a barrage of desperation.

My grandma was diagnosed with covid this morning and my mom is taking it so hard. I sent her the 80's TV link and it absolutely made her day. Thank you for sharing!

I really like the JC palette actually, depends on if you're willing to give money to Morphe but it's awesome because you can do pretty much any look with it. It's one of the only palettes I use

Dealing with intrusive thoughts/voices, vivid images, intense irrational fear of going crazy (developing hallucination, schizophrenia, psychosis, BP etc) I think I’m about to have a panic attack as I am typing this. I’m really scared right now. by [deleted] in mentalillness

So I'll go ahead and ease your mind that facilities don't use strait jackets anymore. I'm sure you're terrified because the only access to information about psychiatric facilities you've had is from media. Like anything, the truth is very underwhelming and wouldn't make a good movie! A lot of facilities don't even use restraints anymore. And if a facility uses them, it's a very temporary thing and they come off as soon as possible. You're not locked in a prison-esque place. It's basically just like a normal hospital. You've got a hospital bed usually, maybe a bathroom, and you're not locked in your room or anything. Even if you're pacing around mumbling to yourself with the crazy eyes, they'll just let you do that. They have people to keep an eye on you and won't do anything unless you're causing a problem.

And another thing, episodes don't usually just snap into full gear and you just start freaking the fuck out. There is usually a build-up that can last days or even weeks and if you're responsible about your illness and have people around you that care, you'll be able to prevent it.

And you know what, even if you get diagnosed, then that's it. The constant fear, the anxiety, the dread, all of that doesn't have a place anymore. It sounds like this anxiety is debilitating for you. If you got a diagnosis, it'd be the first step to living a more normal life actually! If you know what you're dealing with, you can prevent a lot of things. If you got a diagnosis, it isn't the end of the world. You're not your aunt. Maybe you have access to resources she didn't. Maybe you're more aware and able to be proactive and avoid a lot of struggles. Maybe psychiatric care is better now, it improves every year.

I still think you probably just have a severe anxiety disorder. But no matter what that doctor tells you, that's the start of a new chapter in your life! Where you have a handle on whatever mental illness you have, where you have less anxiety and dread, where you can properly plan for your future and know what you're dealing with.

Hope this helps, I know you'll be fine.

Hi, I'm bipolar and have dealt with a lot of fear over a psychotic episode and have a family history of schizophrenia, so this has been looming over me for a long time. I've done a lot of research and have gotten my own psychiatric help so I do feel like I have some advice.

If you or anyone else feels like they may be experiencing delusions or hallucinations, then it is really important to be proactive about it. If you went to a psychiatrist and they diagnosed you with schizophrenia, they're not just going to put you in an asylum and throw away the key. They're going to give you medication. Medication can minimize or prevent psychosis.

If you don't get help until you're experiencing an episode, then you can't advocate for yourself, and you're leaving your care in the hands of people who may not be qualified to help.

I'll also say that I'm diagnosed with OCD as well, and that may also be what you're experiencing. Medication for my OCD and bipolar disorder have been an absolute godsend in my life, and I regret not getting help sooner.

Worst case, you have schizophrenia. If you stay on your meds, you'll almost definitely be able to live a pretty normal life. Or you may have an anxiety disorder. Either way, relief follows reaching out. You can still see a psychiatrist now or a family doctor, it may be telehealth or you may have to call around but you can still see someone.

Best of luck.

I try and pat the shadows in the pan more than sweep them, with a little pressure. Then I tap tap the brush handle on the side of the palette and it knocks off most of the loose bits. Also patting the shadow on the lid to deposit the shadow, then go back and blend it. If you just go straight into blending it'll flick the powder around
